I'm very upset that Ben isn't really redeemed. That scene with Ilana was a high point in the season for me. Once a @#$@#$, always a #@#$Q@#, I guess.

That was a good ep. Nice seeing Jacob being so honest. Sad to see Ben revert back to his post-temple-dunk ways again. I also felt that his "conversion" with Ilana was amazing.
As much as I didn't care for the FS and all it's forced coincidences, it was nice to see all the crazy people acting sane, e.g. Danielle. :-)

So 2 1/2 hours to go and I still don't know what the sideways world is. And yet I don't care. I just want it to survive. I think. Cause wouldn't Sayid and Kate be fugitives? Oh well, they could be fugitives together. Remember way back before Solitary when the triangle sort of included Sayid (Capt. Falafel per Sawyer).
@Ginger: The text messages have something to do with the retrospective prior to the finale Sunday night. ABC will be showing some texts sent in about what Lost meant to people. Apparently only works with Verizon.
I think seeing Widmore is what launched Ben back over to the dark side. It brought up all those feelings of anger about Alex and all he wanted was vengeance.
I think Ben is like MIB he looks for a means to an end.
I never felt he was redeemed. JMO
The one thing I didn't like about this episode is Ana Lucia taking the bribe money...my son is an LAPD cop!

Now I see what Jeff Jensen was meaning by funny parts. When been seen Des and ran up to him and said oh no you don't I cracked up. Also when I seen Des seemed to be ready to run down Locke again was slightly funny.

This is the first episode this season I wish I could rewatch right now. But Hubby's got to catch up on 24. I think I'll save this and rewatch on Sunday before the finale. The idea of a clip show with fan texts scrolling by -- well, let's just say it's not really how I want to spend the last 2 hours leading up to the finale.
I know it's crazy but I want them to somehow all come back to the island and be alive. I like the island story so much more than the FS or their real backstory.

Not crazy at all Sayid'sgirl. I want them to face a future with their Island memories intact and their FB from previous seasons to be real, not erased by Jack's 'reset'. In other words, I want it to be our Losties we've known for over 5 years and to see them face the future with the enlightenments and growth they've experienced since 2004 (Island time, O6 time, Dharmaville time.. all acknowledged and better ppl because of all they've been through. To let the sideways be the real future of our Losties feels like a cheat to me, negating all the previous seasons of Lost (lol, like Hurley said at Comic-con). I'd rather TPTB leave us to our wild imagination to guess what their futures will be rather than to 'settle' on the sideways, IMO.

I'd like to see Des causing a big white-out flash at the concert and also causing a big white-out flash on the Island at the same time. All our Losties end up skinny-dipping in the ocean and here comes Penny's boat to save them all to go forward with their lives. LOL!
I'm thinking that maybe Widmore told Flocke a lie about Desmond. Or at least not the whole truth. Why would Widmore tell Flocke anything real? to save Penny? If Widmore's successful using Des in whatever way he's supposed to use him, how will Flocke be able to do anything to anybody?
I think Wid told Flocke something that would lead him down the path of his own destruction.

That's about average for commercials. In 2.5 hours you'd probably get about 45 minutes worth anyway.
