The End - Series Finale

After six seasons, this is it. There is no description for tonight's finale, but I don't think there needs to be.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all of you. You are an amazing group of people. This blog started in other, perhaps more capable hands, but I have been honored to take you through the last couple of seasons.

Thank you to David and Steve for your phenomenal podcast, and thank you to the crew over at LostArgs, especially Zort/Ian, for being such an incredible sister site.

Tonight, Lost comes to an end. However, I know that this will not be the end of this community, or of the friendships hatched from it. We have been a part of each others lives - some for a few months, and some for years. As with the Losties, we have seen births and deaths, life changes and simple pleasures. We have shared more than a television show - we have shared our lives.

The Lost Community will live on. I know it. In the meantime, Peace and Namaste.

- Melissa

Lost: The Final Journey

This series retrospective will have a focus on the final season, as well as a look behind the scenes of the series' 2004 pilot episode, interviews with past and present cast members, and a look at the series' impact on popular culture.

Team Darlton, from all of us here at TheLost Community, thank you.

West Coasters - a new post will go up at 8:55 p.m. ET, so feel free to hang out here spoiler-free until the finale hits your time zone.

Also, don't forget that David and Steve are going to be live on Talkshoe all night! Listen in HERE.

Lost: The Pilot Enhanced

A man awakes in a jungle. He is bruised and bloody, and doesn’t know where he is. A yellow Labrador Retriever watches him from the trees, then suddenly runs off. He forces himself up and winces in pain, leaning against a tree. He checks his jacket pocket and finds a small bottle of vodka. Recognition of where he is begins to float across his face. He winces back the pain and begins to run through the trees, reaching a beautiful beach.

He hears sounds - people screaming. He wanders around a bend and finds what has brought him here - a plane crash, survivors in shock. A man trapped beneath wreckage. A woman not breathing. A pregnant woman screaming for help. He runs to help those he can, and rallies the others to help him. One of these strangers asks his name: “Jack.”

And so we began.

Tonight, Jack questions Locke's motives after he's asked to perform a tough task.

Personally, I'd be WAY past questioning Locke's motives, but this is Jack we're talking about.

And who wouldn't trust a guy holding a package marked "explosives"? Just look at that smile!
