Maven-I agree about Rose/Bernard. I also think that everyone that came on Ajira 316 all landed in the same timeline. 1974. I may be dead wrong, but I just don't see how it could be any other way if the time jumps have actually stopped. The condition of the Hydra station is a mystery that I can't reconcile however. Perhaps the DI only use the Hydra when they have "test animals" present. I think the polar bears and the sharks escaped their cages/tanks and the DI abandoned the Hydra pretty much early in the game.
The page that Caesar pulled out of the file in the Hydra was not from Daniel's notebook according to the popups (though the validity is disputable) but a diagram from a book (or something NOT a composition book.) Anyway, it gave the distinct impression that Daniel must have copied that diagram into his notebook from that page in the file, that the page was the original document and was copied by Daniel. I think.
What do you guys think?

I don't quite understand the reason for the venom, but she does get a bit too overly excited in her Fuselage and Jate bashing IMHO, so maybe they just didn't want to have to deal with that anymore? :-o

I saw something that theorized that because not everyone returned - no Aaron, no Desmond - they landed in different places. They were warned that without everyone the results would be "unpredictable."

Once again I enjoyed the episode EXCEPT for Sawyer's puppy dog looks at Kate. Blech!!!!!!
Love that Sawyer made Jack a toilet cleaning workman and dissed his leadership skills. Yeah, that's not going to work very long.
Did anyone see Hurley's assignment?
There were so many things I loved in this episode including the questions it raised like why not Sun? How does Ben end up in sick bay? How do the outriggers end up by the 316ers (or vice versa)? When and how did Daniel leave?
Do you think young Ben's statement about mustard was a test Richard gave him to see if Sayid was a hostile? Clearly this is after the time Ben has made contact with Richard.
Just to show I'm not totally against Jack, I feel sorry for him that he just doesn't know how to "play the game" in Life when it's necessary. He just can't let go of the control, even if it's the worst thing he could do at the time.
I've always liked Sawyer the quintessential bad boy.
But Sayid has always been my favorite.
Now I'm worried about how much I'm going to see of him.
I'm not sure how long he will last.

Yes, I loved Sawyer's speech too. And Jack did genuinely seem relieved and ceded leadership well.
There will be a lot of interesting conversations later. I wonder if they'll be shown the audience.
I wonder if planning an ending to a show finally allows writers to let their characters grow up. The ep of Scrubs I saw last night displayed maturity uncommon for the show and most sitcoms. Of course, mistakes will still be made and not everyone will grow up. Still, I like it.
I have to say that when I heard Smokey I got very worried for Frank. I guess he was just scanning them for Christian. It was odd to me that all that DI stuff was in Othersville. We never saw it when the Others lived there. Did DI try to reconstitute between 2005-2007/8?

We really can't tell if what year it would be, just post Dharma, post Other using the Hydra and the camps.

I agree that he probably has. Those were probing questions.
I'm not sure if it's the case that Sun didn't travel because it's unpredictable or because she's not needed in 1977.
Let's assume that Locke turned the wheel instead of Ben and that no one had left the Island. Would that mean that everyone travelled to 1974/77? Would Sun have still been pregnant? Should it have been her instead of Amy who successfully gave birth to a baby conceived on Island? Too many questions.
And Black Swan I didn't see puppy dog looks from Jack at Juliet. He was very busy trying to figure out what might go on between Kate and Sawyer. I think we he saw Juliet at first it was like cool I've got a backup plan and then we he realized she was with Sawyer he was like, cool I'm back in with Kate.

Twinkle, you raise a very interesting prospect. What if the 316ers are between the time DI was Purged and the 2000s when we see the Others fully integrated into Othersville? I kind of hate that idea and tonight seemed to imply that they are all 30 years apart. Exactly when did that card come up? From the plane crashed onto the Hydra or the plane crash generally?

Heard this on Jay and Jack, what if Amy = Amelia as in the old lady in Juilet's Book Club in 2004? The one who clucks about Ethan being a klutz at the plumbing?
I'd guess Ethan was "spared" because he was special, conceived and born on the Island. Amy may have been spared (or joined the Hostiles) because of Paul and whatever the reason was the Richard took his body. That could have spared Ethan too.
I think this is maybe a year or two after Ben meets Richard - just to account for the actor's aging. We don't want another Taller Ghost Walt on our hands.
Did anyone else find it strange that little Ben, the son of a janitor who grows up to be nothing more than a janitor himself, is able to just walk in to the jail and give Sayid a sandwich?

I think that Sun lied about Smokey to Frank, she does that after all, because the only thing that matters to her is finding Jin. Just like the only thing that mattered to Jin was finding Sun.

What happened to the to island between 2004 and 2007. Was there a war or what? Christian and Smokey seem to be the only ones around now.
Tonight solidified for me why we do not need Cesar and whatever her name is, I always get it wrong. I do not care in the least what happens to the 316ers other than Frank and Sun and Ben and Locke. Seriously, Smokey can take them all out now and we can move on.

2 things: I thought Sawyer feeding Sayid the answers ("The truce says you have to identify yourself as a hostile..." etc) was hokey, and obvious. Sawyer getting soft as a con-man?
Anyone else think that it wasn't a sandwich in that bag from little Ben? Anyone care to speculate, cause I'm almost positive it wasn't bread and meat (or at least wasn't ONLY a sandwich; instructions on how to escape? what to tell Alpert? etc)
Oh, another couple of things:
The question has come up that we don't know how unconscious Ben gets taken back to the hydra station. I surmise that someone else must have been following the 3 of them, because when Locke shows up (right before he sees Ben, I think) Cesar tells him the the pilot and some girl left on a boat. Someone knows they left (and therefore probably brought Ben back).
Also, on the Ajira flight, when they started flashing, it was night, and when they came out of it (at 650 ft in the air...Yikes!), it was daylight (not dawn/dusk, but midday). How long were they out of it?
My pregnant wife just took her pre-natal vitamin, which means it's bedtime before it makes her feel sick. I'll check yall in the morning.

Frank looks up and says Oh, no! right before the flashes start, so do you think he was told to go a certain bearing and his screw-up made them land at the Hydra Island or made it that Sun didn't get flashed out?
BTW When Sun and Frank are outside the processing building right before Christian shows up the closed captioning says ghostly voices whispering the whispering stops. I didn't notice it before but you can hear them.

Just thought I would mention that the Craft glue in the copper colored plastic bottle, that Radzinsky was using to build his Swan Hatch model... Did not exist in 1977. It was introduced as a new product in 1994 while I worked at an Art store...

Hurley seems very relaxed on the Ajira flight. Eye shade and all! He seems to know what's about to happen.

Perfect casting for RADZINSKY! So he was at the Flame first building models. LOL The bank of screens showed what seemed like news anchors (I think it was Jerry Dumphey, who was an LA staple and the Muppets...so they did have contact with what was going on with outside world.
Cesar doesn't seem to know about the island....could he still be a plant?
ETHAN...answers are a-coming! Juliet's answer to Amy about having her own baby: "Time has got to be right."...you better believe it! And recruits are doped up for the trip on the sub.

Did anyone else hear the Numbers over the plane's radio just before the landing? Somewhere during the turbulence, the flashing, and then the near-miss landing I thought I heard the numbers. Anyone corroborate?
I heard the numbers when the plane crashed! It sounded pretty robotic. Now someone needs to compare them to the ones Rousseau's team heard. Not me though.

1. Radinsky does look like Leonard. although when i first saw him i thought maybe he didnt commit suicide but was killed because he knew to much.
2. Frank could fly me anywhere.
3. Juliet delivered Ethan and was recruited to the island by ethan because of her fertility skills..kinda creepy.

5. could the reason for Sun staying in present time be because shes a mother?

Morning! Had a thought last night about why Richard Doesn't age. Do you think Christian will continue to age? Will Locke now? They could all be part of the three resurrection musketeers. No wonder Ben's jealous.
Actually I don't think this is likely, but it's a thought. Another not likely but more preferable explanation, IMO, is that Alpert is really the statue god in the flesh.
Interesting that "Ghost" Christian was actually able to take off the 1977 Group picture off the wall and hand it to Sun. A true ghost cannot touch things.
