"THE ANSWERS"

Airing tonight at 10:15/9:15c, Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuse take a look at some of the questions - and answers - about the mysteries of Lost, in preparation for next week's two-hour season finale. It should be an interesting recap and, who knows, maybe they'll clear up some stuff that they haven't already hashed, rehashed, and prehashed in their podcasts!

Nice Admin, thanks!

Sheesh, Doc J. just gave us three more books to put on our list!

Erich, I think that the sub could be coming from whatever continent they are arriving from, but maybe it just stops at the LG first. How would they get to the LG first without the sub, do you have an idea or thought? I just didn't think about that yet, so I'm interested.

memphish said...

Dedjezter said rabbit homes in the wild are called hatches (memphish paraphrase). I thought they were warrens and of course as pets they live in hutches. The fact that TLG was labeled a Hatch instead of a station also made me think it was post-DI.

Capcom said...

It seems that ocean driller rigs also have "moon pools":

See "camera sled" pic on right.

Capcom said...

Doc J. talks about Abraham Merrit's "The Moon Pool" in his recap and gives a brief description. Here's another one that I found: "A fascinating adventure story about a weird subterranean world reachable via a force field." Hmmmmmmmmm.

oh goody. maybe i'll be stoned to death tonight after 10:15. hahahahaha.

eh.

Unknown said...

oh my dear god.....please tell me they're not suggesting atlantis. i speculated that out loud about 14 months ago (along with several other theories), just before settling on ONE theory and sticking to it.

i doubt it. but even more, i hope that's not the case.

Capcom said...

Well Chucklez, depending on where they are, Atlantis "was" in the Atlantic, and Lemuria "was" in the Pacific, so it could be either one. That is, whichever one had four-toed natives.

Unknown said...

eh. i'm sticking with the four-toed statue as an homage to darwin's theory of evolution and the fact that he believed that in the future, we won't have the need for 5 digits on each limb, therefore........dropping our "pinky" (useless) toes and fingers.

i'll believe that (because of the reason for the initiative) over atlantis or anything "like that".

Capcom said...

Could be Chucklez!

I'm looking forward to the recap show tonight. Anything Lost for me.

Am I the only one that wants to see a shark jump out of the moon pool and eat charlie like sam jackson

chucklez3, if you don't want to read the word "Atlantis," I hope you haven't read my latest big theory.

(yes, I'm pimping it kinda hard, but I want readership, dammit!) ; )

well here comes the show.....

Erich said...

capcom: I was just going way far out on a rickety limb, and saying maybe the Looking Glass is the magic portal (dare I say the "box"?) through which people come to the island (feel free to come up with some sort of scientific Stargate-y analogy if you're more comfortable). Then, in order to keep it a secret, the drugged individuals are loaded into a submarine (docked in the moon pool) which takes them to the dock. When they wake up they assume they came all the way on a sub, and no one's the wiser.

Here's another wacky thought: what if Ben actually believes the Looking Glass has been flooded, and even he doesn't know what's going on down there?

Erich said...

Through the Looking Glass, indeed...

maven said...

Sarah: I just bought my new grandbaby (who's coming in Sept.) the Numbers Block onesie at Cafepress! It's so cute!

memphish said...

Erich, I agree that the TLG is involved in your Island arrival. I still don't buy that it's just that sub. Is it a wormhole, a stargate, the Bermuda triangle, some other wacky sci fi thing--I don't know? I'd like it if Ben thought the way you arrived was the sub, but Alpert was running TLG. I don't think TLG is the box though because of the semantics of on-Island, off-Island.

Darkaardvark said...

I wish TPTB had advertised this "Lost: The Answers" more heavily. It's pretty much irrelevant to US, but I think it's nearly comprehensive enough to bring back those viewers who either never really got into it, or dropped out in season 1 or 2. I think it does a good job of recapping everything major that has happened and I think it'd be reasonable for people to catch up watching it.

Pretty darn boring, though, for those of us who know all this stuff.

maven said...

Erich: Remember, Alpert told Juliet she needed to be drugged because it was going to be a tough ride. And we did figure out that she couldn't have taken the sub all the way from Miami. I like the idea that TLG is a portal sort of like Stargate.

Liz said...

I'm with erich, I think Ben doesn't know what goes on in TLG.

You guys are great here, I've loved reading the comments.

Darkaardvark said...

Hah, cuselof just made a sly reference to my favorite wacky theory for the game-changer: They get rescued in the finale. Rescued for real. Haha.

Erich said...

Memphish: I agree about TLG not being the box. They just reiterated the box is a metaphor, and (Damon, I think) went further to say the entire island is the box.

I definitely like the idea that TLG is a way on and off the island. It makes Ben's manipulation of Locke blowing up the sub more perfect...providing Ben knows what goes on in TLG.

TPTB have definitely backed themselves into a Gilligan's Island corner with this rescue thing. It seems like they can't get rescued, because then the show would be over, but I'd be interested to see if they could manage to rescue some of the Losties, while leaving enough behind to carry on. OR figure out a way to take the show partly off-island. I don't know how they'd do that without it sucking, but the fact they went off-island last finale (with the Penny reveal) suggests they're not entirely afraid of it.

Capcom said...

I like that idea Erich, that Ben might not know that the LG is functional!! And that perhaps Richard has his people there Memphish, yahoo! Someone's got something on Bennyboy! Gee, I hope that TLC didn't just guess what's gonna happen.

Experimental, "redonkulous" is my new favorite word this year! :o) How much were the necklaces, were they good quality?

Capcom said...

Maybe a spinoff possibility Erich? :-o

Erich said...

Capcom: Yes. A situation comedy called Concrete Jungle, where Charlie, Hurley and Sayid live together in a NY apartment and find love and laughter at the local coffee shop, with Kate's mom as a wisecracking waitress and the smoke monster as their grumpy landlord.

I'd watch.

Unknown said...

ultimately, did that "special" seem like a big waste of airtime?? or is it just me?

maybe cuz we (the fanatics) are way to engulfed to need such a special.

eh...

CattyGirl said...

The Charlie stuff still had me tearing up. I don't think I'll be re-watching Greatest Hits anytime soon.

Capcom said...

P.S., Cuselof was/were freely calling the stations 'hatches' tonight, so it doesn't seem as if it's a big deal that the LG was called a hatch after all.

Unknown said...

erich: will locke be a "mr. roper" type?

hahaha. landlord hell-bent on "preaching" about how the apartment is "special" and the boiler room speaks to him???

Erich said...

Chucklez: I'm more interested in hearing the next OLP. They'd better address the whole "why didn't they just cut the cable?" question...

Erich said...

Chucklez: I more see Locke as Charlie's boss. Maybe he goes back to work at the paper factory?

Or he could be the bartender at the local nightclub.

Either one.

CattyGirl said...

I was thinking that these are the important points to keep in mind, just like an hour long 'Previously on Lost'... and also thinking I hope Claire and Jack somehow find out that they are related by the end of the series.

Unknown said...

you know, i'm not one for diving into deep waters, but if i'm gonna be greeted by nice looking girls and tied up........hmmm.......hahahahaha!!

Capcom said...

OK, I'm really warming up to your idea that there is some weird way that they "arrive" at the island via the LG, and then take the sub to the island, as per Rich and Ethan telling Jules about the freaky trip. All for a big ruse to hide the secret freaky part. Hmmmmmmm. Maybe not as big a deal as Stargate, but I dunno, something different. I know that this will be hated by the anti-scifi bunch, but I'm a little open to the possibility now.

ummmm......wow?

Anonymous said...

my* birthday .
which happens to be september 12th .

well i find solace in knowing that it was definitely the electromagnetism that des caused that made the plane crash .. what i still dont understand connection wise is how the plane became 1000 miles (?) off course . was the the pulse too ?

and they pretty much verified that the smoke monster manifests itself into all the castaway's memories .

Anonymous said...

lmao chucklez .

i hope people dont think that ALL lost viewers are that ...... unique looking .

Unknown said...

sara: my idea about that is that they were being "intentionally" brought to the island as unwilling "subjects".

the plane was WAY too LOW to be simply passing over the pacific at that point. it shoulda' been 30,000 feet above the ocean. however, it was merely 1000 feet above the island when the pulse ripped it apart. therefore if it had been flying at an appropriate height, it would've never happened.

ben and the rest of the others were not "shocked" that there was an airliner flying over them. it was the fact that it got ripped apart.

Unknown said...

not at all. you're a beautiful woman, sara. i would never suggest YOU were so ummm..........."homely". hahaha.

So, the special is not worth it for us? Is it pretty much everything we know already? I'm dvr-ing it (opposite ER finale).

FYI: Here is what I just stumbled upon concerning the Lost video game:

"Carlton Cuse: It is going to be self-contained although it will obviously take place and be set in environments that we’ve seen on the show. We’re involved in sort of an overview fashion, we’re not writing the game. So we obviously are involved in monitoring and progress and the development of the game but they’re writing their own self-contained story that isn’t an extension of canon.

Damon Lindelof: We pitched them a concept for the game and they’re basically going to run with it but I think much in the same way that the Star Wars first person shooter games worked, where even you’re new characters exploring similar environments in the movies that you already know. So you’re on the Death Star but you’re not Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi. It’s going to function in the same reality as that. It’s more sort of a fun way of re-exploring some of the things that you’ve already seen in the show but from a different point of view.

Carlton Cuse: I will say this, we provided the game makers with details of our sets and stuff so you may see in the game more things in sets that we only saw parts of in the show, like the Hydra or even the Swan."

That last paragraph is exciting! I miss the Swan.

G'nite!

Black Swan said...

capcom, that's great stuff!! Do you know when it'll be released (and is it a RPG?)

Black Swan said...

I agree that TLG is the first stop coming to the island... even a portal of some kind.

So, does Ben just not want anyone to leave? Alpert and Ethan are the only ones we know of who have left the island and come back (with Juliet). Even his Dad (Roger) said he was stuck on the island...

I just watched the answers show and slo-mo'd through Desmond's flashes about the paracutist and there was a frame or two of Penny in those flashes. That's why he was so convinced that the parachutist would be Penny.

Scoutpost said...

Well I was hoping for a little more from that show, but it was well done. I kept thinking, wow they are doing a really good job of summing up 3 years of a show that has such a complicated plot!
Personally, I didn't like the way they joked about Purgatory. Made me think they were trying to leave that door open, or like they were hinting that it's not Purgatory but.... So help me if it boils down to semantics. No offense chucklez3! :)

Joseph Finchum said...

Oh man, I can't believe my VCR didn't record. It sounds like I didn't miss much, but it still sucks I have to wait until Wed. to see it.

I was thinking earlier how mad I will be if they get rescued next season and the last two seasons turn into the Nine. sort of off island story. I don't want that. I would rather the last scene be them seeing a rescue boat, then following them off Island.

InEnglandAndLost said...

Morning LoCos

Don't think we'll see the answers show over here! Was much missed?!

memphish said...

I haven't watched the clip show, and probably won't until Tuesday due to scheduling conflicts. Dedjezter, you might want to check ABC.com this morning to see if the episdoe is on their video player.

I'm trying not to think too hard about the game changer. I'd rather be stunned, but didn't TPTB say in some interview announcing the end date of the show that the series ending would leave no possiblity of spin-off or other stories to tell? Seems like I read that somewhere. Not that I don't like the "Concrete Jungle" idea. If it's set in NYC we'll wonder constantly is that Smokey or just steam rising from the sewers. :)

Rescue is certainly on the table for next week given Des's flashes, but I don't think I want them to leave the Island. And Locke and Rose don't want to leave right? I'm with Ded that I don't want LOST to become The Nine. It could turn into actual group therapy sessions like some have speculated is what is going on in the first place.

Did TPTB discuss the Charlie swimming discrepancy at all?

Erich said...

Memphish: You raise a good point about Locke not wanting to leave the island. If he survives and makes it back to the beach for the finale, I could definitely see him thwart a rescue attempt...maybe in a way that completely severs his ties with the rest of the Losties.
Then he could sail up river, and live in isolation, Col. Kurtz-style. He's already got the bald head.

The Horror...the Horror...

Unknown said...

Man so many comments to catch up on...

At this point there's so much going on I can't give anything new to the discussions here. I will throw in my 2 cents though:

1: Looking Glass/Radio Tower
Just in case there's still some confusion about what was doing what, this is what they're doing as I understand it:

Danielle changed DHARMA's radio tower from broadcasting the Numbers to her own message.

TLG is a blanket off-island jammer that blocks everything coming to and going from the island. On-island communication is not a problem though because the Others use walkies and Sayid picked up Danielle's transmission back in s1.

The Losties' plan is therefore twofold: to turn off Danielle's signal so Sayid can use his own and to disable TLG to remove the jammer so Sayid's signal can get out.

The interesting point here though is that once TLG jamming is down you won't need to turn off Danielle's signal because Naomi's satphone will have its own frequency. The whole thing about Danielle's signal blocking the satphone is Sayid's interpretation of what he can see before he learned about TLG.

2: Charlie swimming
It's not a decrepancy that Charlie can suddenly swim. Charlie is simply lying about being able to do it because he wants to complete Desmond's vision so Clare and Aaron will be safe. It's not common knowledge that Charlie can't swim very well, and it's certainly not common knowledge that Charlie would've died saving a drowning Clare if that version of time had played out.

Charlie knows he has to flick a switch to save Clare, and that flicking will result in his drowning. To overhear talk about an underwater radio station that needs to be deactivate, it's obvious in Charlie's mind that this is what Desmond saw, so he automatically volunteers, and whether he can swim or not, he's is "destined" to succeed in getting to the switch.

3: Charlie visions
Somebody made mention that the increase in severity of Charlie's deaths could be a plot or something? Surely it's more simple than that: every time Desmond makes a save, the universe ups the ante when it course-corrections to bump Charlie off. A point will come when Desmond will be incapable of succeeding. This time, instead of throwing even more danger at Charlie, the universe simply tugs on his heart strings forcing Charlie to CHOOSE to die, thus taking Desmond out of the loop.

4: Stargate-style portal
I don't like this idea. Not because it's too sci-fi but because it's not *original* sci-fi and thus would be too lazy and uninspiring. I like the idea that TLG is in some fashion the way of getting to the island, and you simply take the sub from TLG to the dock, but I would hope it's something other than simply a portal/wormhole/tear/rift (although that kinda removes all the options unless TPTB have come up with something truly special).

engineer27 said...

Good morning.

There was some questions on the last comment thread about the function of the Dharma Arrow Station (Horace Goodspeed had an arrow logo on his jumpsuit).

The complete blast door map, found in the current issue of the official Lost Magazine, has a notation which indicates that the Arrow is a Dharma staging and resupply point. The notation was not seen on screen because the overhang in the Swan cut it off.

I'll try to get a scan of it up this weekend to share.

The Penuels said...

Just watched "The Answers"...I found one exchange particularly interesting. Based on the tone of their voices and the expressions on their faces, and based on Desmond's premonition, I'm now wondering if we may see some (if not all) of the survivors rescued and taken off the island in the finale. I have no idea what direction this will take the show but here's what D&C said...

Carlton:
"Assuming they can get that radio to work, our guys can call that freighter and they can get rescued."

Damon:
"But that's never gonna happen."

Carlton:
"Well, so you say."

Damon:
"If they get off the island, the show's over."

They totally had that coy "we know something you don't know" attitude all throughout this exchange. May they were just tossing out a subtle red herring but I felt a clear implication that rescue was coming and that may be the big "game changer" they've been teasing all season long.

memphish said...

To add to that Admin, so far every disagreement Carlton and Damon have had of this nature this season, Carlton has been right like Kate's choice and Mikhail's survival. I think Locke, Rose and Kate could throw a monkey wrench into things though since real world life for them -- eh, not so great.

I'm out until Tuesday. Keep up the good theorizing LoCos.

The Penuels said...

Scoutpost,

I felt like they were clear as day when discussing purgatory.

DAMON:
"You and I have said publicly that they are not in purgatory. They are not ghosts. They are actually alive and breathing somewhere in the space-time continuum."

There, we have it in writing.

engineer27 said...

admin,
yes, "somewhere in the space-time continuum"

just not necessarily on Earth....

The Penuels said...

engineer27,
I agree. Saying, "somewhere in the space-time continuum" does open the door to a variety of possibilities, but all of those possibilities have to meet the condition of "alive and breathing".

Do you really think they aren't on earth?

engineer27 said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
engineer27 said...

No, I think they are on Earth. I'm just saying they (Damon and Carleton) certainly left it open.

maven said...

Morning all! Sounds like the Answers special was slightly interesting! I dvr'd it (opposite ER finale -- which was great!). Going to watch it now.

I also don't know about this Stargate portal thing at TLG. Is that how everyone gets to the island? The Losties didn't, Desmond and Naomi didn't. Time may move differently on the island, but you don't have to enter through some portal or wormhole under the sea.

Unknown said...

administrator said... They totally had that coy "we know something you don't know" attitude all throughout this exchange. May they were just tossing out a subtle red herring but I felt a clear implication that rescue was coming and that may be the big "game changer" they've been teasing all season long.

I'm not too worried. I've been keeping up with the blogs of certain people who have seen the finale (Kristin and Doc Jensen) and they are very excited about it. If there was some sort of rescue, I don't think either of them would be too happy.

Melissa_Lossa said...

Happy Friday, everyone!

I'm looking forward to watching The Answers tonight - last night I was busy with the finales of both CSI and Scrubs.

I can't wait for the finale!

Here's a question I thought of earlier - do we know how long Kelvin was on the island before Des showed up? Do we have a clue as to whether he arrived before or after the purge?

Unknown said...

“they are not in purgatory. They are not ghosts. They are actually alive and breathing somewhere in the space-time continuum”

Plays very nicely into the numerous parallels I drew between the island and Hades, the ancient Greek land of the Dead, in the previous post.

Black Swan said...

Hi everybody..

WOW, I never thought of rescue or of Lost going off-island, but I think it could be fascinating! With all the conspiracies (at least in my mind), including the Abbot, the ring lady, Naomi, Mr.'s Paik and Widmore, and possibly Leonard, Hurley's Dad, the so-called psychic who talked Claire into the flight, etc...

OR, what if they get back to the real world, but it's in a different time frame? It could go either way: in the past - they could change things... in the future - they're "dead" (according to news reports). Actually, even in real-time the idea that everyone thinks they're dead sounds interesting. Loads of possibilities!!

I would really miss the island, but I suppose now that they've shown what happened to Dharma and the stations, other than more beach romance, pregnancies, etc., and more conflict with the Hostiles, what else is there? I was hoping for a huge underground city because we need new locations, but I suppose going back to the real world could be a great way to continue the story, especially if they deal with the idea of a long con on the Losties that has been a possibility (in my mind anyway), rather than supernatural reasons for the way things have been unfolding.

Melissa_Lossa said...

shakey - I liked your discussion of Hades (sorry I wasn't around to be a part of it). I think that's an interesting parallel to draw, especially the idea of living people being able to occasionally come and go.

maven said...

Life off the island? A lot of possibilities, but I really think it's getting away from the core of the mysteries of Lost. The island is the main character of the show! These people off the island would be just like any other show out there...a big soap opera. Of course, we still need some off-island answers (how Mittelos/Paik/Widmore fit into the story and some more back story on certain people like Alpert). I still think there's plenty more story left on the island itself.

maven said...

Also, in watching "Answers", Damon says: "If they get off the island, the show is over." I think they eventually get off the island (maybe the rescue started with Naomi/Penny), but it's going to take 48 episodes!

engineer27 said...

Melissa_Lossa said...
Here's a question I thought of earlier - do we know how long Kelvin was on the island before Des showed up? Do we have a clue as to whether he arrived before or after the purge?

Kelvin's timeline has gotten a lot of discussion since Feb in this forum (just check back in old comment threads).

Basically, all we know is that he arrived after 1991 (he was in Iraq for Gulf War I) and before 2001 (when Desmond arrived). The purge may have happened before or after he arrived. Until we know, it is hard to say whether Kelvin was ex-dharma-turned-Hostile, still dharma, or new arrival Hostile (like Juliet and perhaps Mikhail).

engineer27 said...

addendum: in my opinion, the Kelvin question is one of the more infuriating little bits of Lost mythology not yet revealed.

The discussion and consternation it engenders is way out of proportion to its relevance to the show as a whole.....

.... or is it?

Capcom said...

Erich, that is such a funny thought about Col. Locke Kurtz. And that phrase was running through my head this week too! Wadda coincidence. :-)

Codysmom, the video game will be previewed on the season3 DVD in September, so it probably won't come out until after that. :-( They also said that they are not sure what platform the game will play on yet...i.e., PC or whatever.

You're right Maven, the island is the main character of the story, and I think that TPTB have also stated this, literally and figuratively, on occasions. Yeah, I can imagine the rescue taking 48 episodes! Since the story is still in 2004, right?

Interesting dilemma about getting to the island, that is, why can some people just "get" there, like Dez, and others have to be brought there via Ethan's rigorous "whatever plus a sub" method (as if they didn't just tell Jules that as a reason to put her out, so she would not know the secret of how to get there!) I'm still on the fence in accepting a timewarp-type method of getting to the LG, before TPTB start giving us hints. But the problem of the various ways that people have gotten there can be explained away in various forms. We know how 815 got through, and before the Purpling, various other goofs and glitches in the "shield/ripple/whatever could have allowed the other travelers (Yemi, the real Gale...)to get there as well. I guess. :-)

Melissa_Lossa said...

Thanks, engineer! I knew we had talked about Kelvin before, I just couldn't remember if we had come to a conclusion. I'm thinking that if Kelvin arrived after 1991, he'd almost have to be post-purge, right?

TheOtherLisa said...

The only theory I like so far about an off island portion of the show is that they arrive back in the past- WITH knowledge of the island- and have to correct things/make choices, etc.

However, I also agree with the fact that these writers are wonderfully brilliant- and more than likely, whatever somes next is worthy of what came before (she says hopefully.... )

Capcom said...

Eng27, well at least we can better understand why Radzinsky may have killed himself, they way we have seen how staying in island-jail has affected other people to the point of despair and misery.

But you're right, after what we know about the Purge, it adds extra questions, such as was he hired by Dharma or the Hostiles? And does HE even know which one hired him?!

I know it's not real life and just a show but......it's such a good mystery story and like nature abhors a vaccuum, my brain hates an unsolved mystery! :o)

maven said...

I'm with you, Lisa: I trust the producers and I'm sure the story is going to play out perfectly in the remaining 48 + the S3 finale episodes!

Capcom said...

Ditto Maven and Lisa! I'm putting my brain and heart into their hands for the next three years!

"Abandon all hope ye who enter here..." Haha.

Black Swan said...

Thanks, capcom. Guess I know what I'll be asking for for Christmas:)

I guess if the Island is the main character, they'll be there til the end. I'm still hoping for a huge underground city!!

I really hope the finale (and I'm trying so hard to stay spoiler-free) has a WOW moment. I was a little disappointed to see Jin, Bernard, & Sayid trussed up in the previews because it reminded me so much of the season 2 finale (Kate, Sawyer, & Jack trussed up).

Remember that Desmond 'sees' Claire and Aaron getting in a helicopter. We don't know the size or how many of our Lostaways are going to go at the same time.

Okay warning LONG post ahead...I just finished watching The Answers and in the spirit of emulating memphish, I took notes on things I found interesting or were confirmed (productive use of a sick day??). Here we go:

1. On Locke: “Landing on this island was the greatest ever to happen in John Locke’s life.” “The last thing he wants to do is ever go back to the outside world.” [Carlton] Slowly but surely he [Locke] is picking off every possibility of rescue.

2. On The Plane:
**The definitive answer as to why the plane crashed is that Desmond didn’t push the button, and an electromagnetic pulse shot out of the hatch, fried the instrumentation on the plane and the plane crashed.

**[Damon] Many of them would not have made the choice to get on that plane were it not for other people. Neither of them [Locke or Sawyer] would have ended up on Oceanic flight 815 if it were not for this guy [Cooper].

3. [Carlton] The others did not want anyone from the outside world to find them or threaten their privacy. They were not happy about the plane crash.

4. [Damon] Ben is very smart, he’s very creepy, and he’s very dangerous. His relationship with his father has made him a fairly dark and twisted individual. Ben led a mass extermination on Dharma, and emerged as the leader of the others.

5. On Smokey:
**[Damon] Is the monster man made? Does the monster have some sort of ability to judge you…Locke passed it the first time he saw it. The second time it tried to pull him into a hole. What does it do with that judgment?

**[Damon] When the monster experiences Juliet we see a series of flashes almost as if it is taking pictures of her. When it looks at you, it seems to be able to process certain memories that you may have had.

6. On Desmond and the Hatch:
**Desmond’s moment of heroism arrived when he sacrificed himself to save his new friends. With the turn of a key, Desmond destroyed the hatch, releasing the magnetic pressure and preventing global catastrophe.

**[Carlton] He may have provided the outside world with a clue to the location of the island. The island is hard to find. That electromagnetic pulse suddenly makes the island visible.

**[Carlton] The most important hatch is the Swan Hatch.

7. [Carlton] Ben takes Locke to see Jacob as a litmus test to see if Locke is really special. Jacob is obviously above Ben in the hierarchy of the island. When Locke can hear him it proves to Ben he is a threat.

8. [Damon] Most of our characters are HEROES. They act most nobly when they act in the spirit of the community. [Carlton] This island has given them an opportunity to completely reinvent themselves. That change for these characters is really what the end game for the show will be all about.

PS codysmom, I dig your new avatar! And Ded, if you are still needing it, go to dailymotion...The Answers show is streamed there in four parts sans commercials and the quality is a-okay.

Thanks, ange! And, good job on the notes..

Being the conspiracy theorist that I am, I jumped on this one:

Damon] Many of them would not have made the choice to get on that plane were it not for other people. Neither of them [Locke or Sawyer] would have ended up on Oceanic flight 815 if it were not for this guy [Cooper].

I also thought this could explain how the others know so much about our Losties:"

**[Damon] When the monster experiences Juliet we see a series of flashes almost as if it is taking pictures of her. When it looks at you, it seems to be able to process certain memories that you may have had.

Happy Friday LoCo! I finally caught up with the comments. And yes, Capcom, the many faces of Jack did grate like fingernails on a chalkboard. Maybe the game changer is that he will finally stop that tight lipped pout.

I don't think I've seen this mentioned yet....but there used to be an association between rabbits and pregnancy tests....remember the expression "The rabbit died"? Though I doubt the Others would be using such a primitive method.

Also, it's interesting that while the human females die in pregnancy, the animal females don't. Hence the plethora of bunnies.

And what if the game changer is that they do get rescued, but what they get rescued to is something completely unexpected?

Back on the "Kelvin Question" (yet again!)...

Melissa_Lossa said...
I'm thinking that if Kelvin arrived after 1991, he'd almost have to be post-purge, right?

I don't think so. It seems that the purge was sometime in the '90s, but that's a big swath of time. And Mikhail's claim of being on the Island 11 years means he got there in 1993. Originally, I thought that meant the purge had to be before then, but after "Behind the Curtain" I have to leave open the possibility that he is a Dharma-turned-Hostile and was there during the purge! And all that assumes he was telling the truth! (You see what I mean by "infuriating".)

capcom said...
Eng27, well at least we can better understand why Radzinsky may have killed himself

Kelvin might have killed him. Or other pre-Kelvin Hostiles might have killed him (see a prior thread for discussion of the Dharma corpse with the bullet hole in the skull).

such as was he hired by Dharma or the Hostiles? And does HE even know which one hired him?!

EXACTLY!!

Ange said...

codysmom: I thought it was interesting that they (kinda in a not so exact way) confirmed that Smokey is indeed processing information/memories and taking pictures. Because Smokey is the biggest tease for me personally.

But I still have issues with it. HOW...HOW is that possible to process a memory from the outside looking in?

Also, I liked how they specifically used the word "hero" to describe Desmond and the Losties. I thought when Nadia said that to Charlie in the alley it might hold some significance. "You are a hero, don't let anyone ever tell you differently."

Darkaardvark said...

"and they pretty much verified that the smoke monster manifests itself into all the castaway's memories ."

Yes and no. They said that the Monster appears to be judging the castaways. They also said that the island seems to be manifesting these people on the island. But they were very careful not to say directly that Jack's dad etc. are all manifestations of the Smoke Monster. They didn't deny, but they definitely didn't outright confirm it.

"Chucklez: I'm more interested in hearing the next OLP. They'd better address the whole "why didn't they just cut the cable?" question..."

That's a several-inch thick metal cable. It would require at the very least some sort of power tool to cut it, I think. I doubt they'd be able to cut it with just a scrap of the plane's wreckage or anything like that. I just think it's too solid to be cut easily.

So, why does Dharma need a station underwater when they could have just as easily built a "moon pool" that surfaced above the water? Doesn't seem like the secrecy is so necessary if it's so hard to find the island anyhow. I'm guessing the game-changer might have something to do with TLG.

Ange: Thanks so much for the Answers recap. It's important to note what they talked about. All of these things are key elements in the story and are important in the long run.

Also, for me, Smokey is a very large question mark (as well as why the numbers are everywhere and what they ultimately mean). Because they talked about Smokey, I'm hoping we'll get some answers about it.

(Hope you're not really sick on your sick day!)

Ange said...

Maven: I am really sick :(.

darkaardvark: You are indeed right, Damon and Carlton definitely answered questions with questions, and were very careful about what they said.

IMHO they did verify that Smokey is judging and collecting data, but not why or what it does with it. Also, they left it for us to continue to wonder if Smokey is manmade or part of the island.

Twinkle said...

Thanks for the recap, Ange! I used it to prepare the next post for SOTL. So far I couldn't find a recap anywhere else! Thanks again!

Capcom said...

Great notes Ange! Those were a lot of the things that jumped out at me as well. Even though the show did not cover anything that we have not hashed out here (correctly or uncorrectly) ad nauseum, it did actually confirm some of our theories that we guessed, but might have been unsure about.

As for Locke, I don't see why he can't live (on the island) and let live (off the island). When the others get resuced, he can always just hide in the bushes for crying out loud. But then, the show would be pretty boring if he wasn't acting like Mr. Destruct-o! :o)

Melissa, maybe the DI/Hostiles put ads in 'Soldier of Fortune' magazine looking for ex-military types interested in becomming mercenaries? The ads could say, "Are you seeking exotic locations, intrigue, and secret missions in dangerous environments, to utilize your military skills? Just call 1-800-NAMASTE". And then they find out that they've signed up to sit in a hatch pushing buttons or ordering supplies drops! :o)

Thanks guys! Glad to be helpful today :D

capcom: Re Locke, I think that you are for sure right on how he should feel about the island on and off. Hiding in the bushes...hehehe excellent!

All the talk about "specials" has brought me back to Stephen King's The Dark Tower again. In the final book, we learn that the villain, the Crimson King, has an army of people he calls "breakers" held captive in a compound. Their task is to break down the beams that hold all parallel universes in place. They are selected from various universes for their psychic abilities, and then held prisoner, forced to bring about the end of existence.

engineer27 said...

capcom: I tend to follow Ben's take on Locke's motivation: he was more concerned with keeping other people off of the island -- particularly that certain someone who ultimately made it to the island anyway!

Ben must be a pretty good judge of people's motivations since he is such an accomplished con-artist. So I'm thinking he knows what he is talking about.

If that's the case, perhaps now that the kidney stealer is dead, Locke will relent and stop blowing up the escape routes -- assuming he gets out of the Dharma ditch, that is.

Erich said...

Melissa: Good call! I think I had that in mind when I was tossing around the Specials idea. We know how much TPTB love Stephen King, and I remember watching the first season and coming up with a bunch of parallels between Lost and Dark Tower. Now, though, I think it was just 'cause I was reading DT at the time.

I like the idea of the Specials. Too bad there's so little evidence to suggest it's actually part of the show. But, hey! If you're reading this Cuselof, feel free to use it!

Codysmom, the video game will be previewed on the season3 DVD in September, so it probably won't come out until after that. :-( They also said that they are not sure what platform the game will play on yet...i.e., PC or whatever.

This is a bit of a let down. Gamefaqs used to have it listed as being made fro PC, PS3, AND X-BOX 360. Now it doesn't say anything, but there is still talk on the GF message board about it being on all three.

Yeah, I can imagine the rescue taking 48 episodes! Since the story is still in 2004, right?

I understand what you are saying, but how long could it possibly take a rescue ship to float 80 miles, certainly not more than a week, which in LOST time means 4 to 5 episodes. Something has to go seriously wrong for it to take 48 episodes to get to the Island. My only hope is that the rescue ship begins to approach the Island and a submarine popps out of the water and fires torpedos at it, and a zoom in reveals Locke at the controls... lol

Hurley wen on to buying out the Clucking chicken fast food chain and is living withh his new wife and ten kids.

Sayid finally found Nadia and they were married. One night in a drunkin fit Sayid Jagar snapped and tortured his wife to death. Today he is in the Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute. He shares a room with a labotomized Man named Benjamin Linus. HE has on several occassions, snapped again and tortured this man for hours on end.

Ect. ect. ect.

This I could handle, but NO MORE... lol

I felt like they were clear as day when discussing purgatory.

DAMON:
"You and I have said publicly that they are not in purgatory. They are not ghosts. They are actually alive and breathing somewhere in the space-time continuum."

There, we have it in writing.

I don't disagree with what they said, just how they said it. It made me a little uneasy because they used that coy/joking type talk that you mentioned when they were talking about rescue. While it seems highly improbable for it to be purgatory and for them to be rescued- I just didn't know what to think by their demeanor. In the end I trust them with the outcome of the show. Even if it doesn't live up to my expectations in the end, I can't complain about the entertainment it has brought me in the long run with all the analysis and conversation with you guys.

engineer27 said...Kelvin might have killed him. Or other pre-Kelvin Hostiles might have killed him (see a prior thread for discussion of the Dharma corpse with the bullet hole in the skull).

If someone else killed Radzinsky, then they made it look like a suicide because as someone pointed out, the blood stain was consistent with someone putting a gun in their mouth and blowing off the top of their head, not a bullet to the skull. Of course, that is if Kelvin is to be believed. Everything in this show is left up to speculation! ugh!

This sticks in my mind too. Desmond's flashes are so incomplete and unclear that the helicopter could definitely mean something bad- not good.

Holy cow! My kids have been home sick the past couple of days, and they are driving me crazy! They're in that stage where they're recovering but still not well enough to go back to school. engineer27 said...capcom: I tend to follow Ben's take on Locke's motivation: he was more concerned with keeping other people off of the island

I agree e27- Otherwise he could just hide in the bushes when the rescue teams came. I was thinking that the island needs to stay a secret in order for it and Locke to maintain their specialness. If outsiders discover what is going on on the island, it may be like another DI coming to mess things up.

That's where my mind's been going all day. What if the copter takes a group to yet another island? Or maybe it crashes on another island. Maybe something related to the 4-toed statue? While it would be very interesting to see our survivors re-enter into the "real world" knowing what they now know, and being changed by their experiences, I don't think they can leave (at least not until the series is over). There are too many storylines anchored to this island...pregnancies, smokey, and Jacob cannot be abandoned. Plus Locke, Rose, and others may refuse to leave even if given the option.

What if only a few make it back to the mainland. We retain island adventures but we also get to see someone face the challenge of initiating rescue from the outside. The web of Mittlelos, Hanso, etc. preventing them from taking any action...the enormous roadblocks related to re-finding the island...dealing with unfinished business from their past (Something like Claire facing murder charges for killing her mom - possibly under the manipulative hand of Mittelos, etc).

I don't know if it would happen but it would add a very interesting dimension to the show...and it would be a surprising twist.

Melissa_Lossa said...

I could see that working, admin. Half the cast on the outside, half on the inside. We'd have to see a lot more of Hanso, Mittelos, etc, but I could see it. Interesting....

I agree that Desmond's vision about the helicopter is not what it appears.

I agree with you guys. I've been thinking it's not going to be a rescue that Desmond seen. He told Charlie before that his flashes don't always play out how he sees then because pieces are missing. Or at least something along those lines.

The fact that their stories are similar makes me think they arrived within a year or two of each other Kelvin sometime after the Gulf war, Mikhail sometime after the Cold war and they both answered ads to save the world. Mikhail seemed to have personal experience with the purge which leads me to believe that Kelvin was there during the purge also. Ben was about 11 or 12 when he came to the island and I'm guessing it was about 10 or 15 years after that, that the purge happened.

Tess315 said...

Oh I was thinking Ben came to the island in the late 70's early 80's.

You all are right about Locke not wanting the outside coming on to the island. I forgot about that.

And as for Locke coming to the rescue in the sub.....of course he would have to be standing half out of the top, with Indiana Jones music playing! :o) Oh, and with an orrange peel smile!

I also can image Ben in the sanitarium, in the corner wrapped neatly in a straight-jacket, rocking and humming, and looking all catatonic. Good revenge for him.

Melissa_Lossa said...

sayid's girl - I think you're right. Ben was 11 or 12 in probably 1975 - 1980. This seems like the kind of project that would pop up during or just following Vietnam. Ben appeared to be 25 - 30 at the time of the pruge, putting it at 1989 - 1994. If Kelvin arrived shortly after the Gulf War, he was probably there right around the time of the purge. Same for Mikhail.

Didn't the creators say that everything Mikhail said was true, with the exception of him being Dharma? So that either means that he just stole the Dharma story from Kelvin or someone like him, and arrived another way, or the story was true, but someone else was using Dharma as a recruiting front.

Darkaardvark said...

There's been a lot of discussion about whether or not people would want to leave if rescue actually came. Here's my thoughts:

Jack- Yes, clearly.

Kate- I think she would. I think using an alias and some hair-dye, especially considering Mars is dead, she wouldn't really have a problem escaping justice and getting off the island.

Sawyer- Same boat as Kate, I think.

Hurley- Yes.

Locke- No, absolutely not.

Jin and Sun- Probably, unless Sun's still worried about her father. Again I think they would be able to be anonymous. Keep in mind it's been months since the crash and if she used an assumed name when talking to Naomi's crew, it should be easy enough to go incognito.

Charlie/Claire/Aaron- Yes. Claire definitely would want a better life for Aaron, and Charlie would follow.

Desmond- Yes, considering he's tried before.

Rose and Bernard- Nope. Bernard will stay with Rose, who isn't leaving the island because she believes it healed her.

Sayid- Yes

Naomi- Yes, for sure.

Rousseau- Not sure. She's still hiding something.

Ben- No.

Juliet- Probably.

Richard Alpert- No, but I don't think he wants Ben to remain a leader.

Alex and Karl- I'd think so.

Tom- I don't know where he stands.

Mikhail- He's too much of a loner, but his hideaway did get blown up.

Agree? Disagree?

Scoutpost, I think all the connections will be eventually explained

An update on an earlier comment: I talked about how it'd be hard to cut the wire on the beach:

A screenshot of TLG schematics shows that the 'wire' is clearly labeled "ANCHOR TO LAND" so it is NOT an electrical wire in that sense and cutting it probably wouldn't do much good (I doubt TLG is going to go floating away!)

Also, those layouts are covered with trigonometric equations and accompanying graphs...something about tide/water intake?

Anchor to land? Doesn't look to me that TLG is about to float away! Also, in the schematic it shows the cable going "under" something about halfway along (like it was tacked down or held to the ocean floor). Charlie and Desmond followed that cable to TLG and it was loose all the way.

still don't buy it. "they're not ghosts". "somewhere in the space-time continuum...."

whichever the case, if they reveal they're in an alternative "locale", i'm not sure i'll continue watching.

it just seems like they want to go more and more into the realm of sci-fi. personally, i liked it better when it was more about atoning for past wrongs, etc.

not to mention, i'd take the more "down-to-earth" hanso/dharma storyline, rather than that.

and as for the purgatory thing.......here's an idea geniuses (writers)......how about NOT continuing to "hint" that they're dead then.

and again.......four-toed statue (darwin) and smokey making a fist and picking people up???

and did anyone hear what they said? that smokey can't manifest as a person? that it's all projected into people's thoughts. i buy that and have been saying similar. however, smokey can't do THAT, but "it" can pick people up and beat them like a hand picking up a rolled-up newspaper??

ugh....whatever.

and i still won't back down. they may not be IN purgatory (as i have even stated), but i don't think that it's not in the realm of possibilities that it doesn't have a part in the show.

ange: they ALSO said smokey can't "transform" into living beings. it can bring on the appearance of such things by bringing it out of the deepest parts of the people's minds. (so-to-speak).

Ange said...

Chucklez3: Looks like just you and I 'round these parts tonight...

I am wondering if they said that about Smokey not transforming in The Answers show last night, or another time? I watched it again just now (okay not the whole thing, but the Smokey part on dailymotion), and here is what they said:

[Damon] Is it a manifestation of the island...we don’t know. We do know that when it looks at you it seems to be able to process certain memories that you may have had.
[Announcer] And some memories have become quite real. (shows Jack seeing Christian on the beach)
[Carlton] We have learned the the island is capable of these apparitions.

That is pretty much it about Smokey. To me it seems that they are saying the island is doing it, and that Smokey may or may not be part of the island??

So yeah I agree with what you are saying that Smokey is not transforming. I am going the route that the island is doing it (I can't wrap my mind around how) and Smokey is just collecting the data.

*shrug*

ange: **[Carlton] The most important hatch is the Swan Hatch.

Yes! I noticed that too! Fits right in with my postulation last week that the rest of the DHARMA operation was a smokescreen (heh) for the Swan, to protect the truly important work there.

And I wasn't crazy about the explanation of the Monster either. But then, there weren't really any "answers" in the entire special.

Oh well. It's always fun to see a clip show.

Just been running through catch-up with the other half and after watching Catch 22 I pointed out the Mrs. Hawkins photo. After a brief discussion about "who's the driving force behind Desmond then?" she turned around and said "well maybe this Jacob guy is that priest".

And I'll tell you something, Brother Campbell looks more like Jacob than any of the other theories we've heard so far:

Enhanced picture of Jacob

Brother Campbell

Just thought I'd throw that out there...

These are Charlie's Greatest Hits.

5. The first time I heard myself on the radio.
4. Dad teaching me to swim at Butlins.
3. The Christmas Liam gave me the ring.
2. A woman outside of Covent Garden calls me a hero.
1. The day I met you.

I don't believe all of these events originally happened this way. Somebody needed Charlie to flip the switch in TLG. Charlie told Jack "I don't swim" and his father was not a nice guy. He didn't catch Charlie the first time. Somebody made him do it in the do-over so Charlie would be a good swimmer now.

Charlie needed to believe he was a hero to sacrifice himself. In reality, he was a loser and a follower (even though he was a cute one.) Whoever is manipulating these people arranged for their cohort (Nadia) to impress upon Charlie that he was a hero.

It's a theory, anyway.

Another theory: The others are eating their test bunnies because the food drops have stopped. They stopped because Locke blew up the Flame and they can no longer communicate with whoever was sending supplies.

Lisa, I liked your caps. Made me nostalgic for Rachel Blake.

You have a good point barbarajay. I think somebody mentioned it a while back- that what we knew about Charlie's life before (i.e. swimming, his dadj, etc.) was not consistent with his flash backs in Greatest Hits. You have to wonder if Desmond has changed things. I think it is possible.

Hey did you guys notice in "The Answers" that DL and CC made fun of Tom's ability to throw the football? Wonder if they noticed that themselves or if they mentioned it because of what everyone online was saying.

even though it says the wire is an anchor to land it could still be a bundle of electrical and fiber optic cable. The qusetion i have is the island gettingits electric from the looking glass or vise versa. There is a chance the shematics have been doctored if it said main power supply they might cut it.

i take everything back about the guy hurley got the numbers from being fake i forgot that ben wasnt jamming the signal back in the day and it wasnt rousseaus signal it was the original with the numbers sorry...

it occured to me that the smoke was the dharma security system, which would point to it it being technology of some sort, but the way the barracks are meant to protect dharmites from the rest of the island i think the smoke may be the natives/hostiles security system../

if its the islands security sytem then it could be supernatural, but it makes all those gear sounds and picture clicking sounds

Morning all!

Passafist: I'm assuming it's 7pm eastern time (4pm western)?

Barbarajay said: The others are eating their test bunnies because the food drops have stopped.
That's a good theory (remember the Losties "kitchen" was starting to look bare, too, when Charlie was gathering things for Naomi.) Also, maybe the Others are going "back to nature" to be more in harmony with the island and appease Jacob. Remember, they can't nosh on cold chicken from their fridge!

Well, we had a night last night! After getting flooring installed in our master bath (they removed the toilet and put it back)...the toilet overflowed and we had water everywhere, dripping downstairs in our kitchen and dining room! What a mess! Up til 2:30am shop-vac-ing up water! Now the fun begins with restoration and dealing with insurances. Just had to vent!

maven said...

Phew...that felt good! LOL

Anyway, FYI: DarkUfo has a vote to see whether or not you want him to post finale spoilers or not in his Spoiler section. I vote NO!

I've been trying to avoid all of the spoilers. Usually I love em but i want to be surprised

Capcom said...

Hi Dr. Sponge! Nice to hear from you over here! Have fun watching the Yankees game.

Fenris said...

Hi All, just checking in. I'm gonna get a blog done before the finale so may not be too involved in convo here until I have it sorted. Trying to get my thoughts in order.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Also check out my new Avitar. It's Patchy in the Looking Glass hatch. :)

Btw, I totally think those women are pregant or have been at some point.

BarbaraJay said...

I found a hole in my previous theory, ie, that Charlie's life has been manipulated to give him experiences of swimming and being a hero. Charlie was a hero in season 1 when he saved Jack in the cave collapse.

Hi, Dr. Spongebob! Welcome back!

2costa said...

i think desmond was taking the stuff from the food drop all along thats how he got his injections and stocked the swan with food. The others have always had to live off the land and they have shown to have domesticated animals. Since they are on this pilgrimage that might explain why they are eating on the run plus it seems to0 be a menu choice by alex to spite the bunny loving ben...

Darkaardvark said...

"if its the islands security sytem then it could be supernatural, but it makes all those gear sounds and picture clicking sounds"

My theory is that these are coming from sounds that have been made on the island that the Monster is synthesizing. Hopefully we will have more time to explore this theory over the summer, I think it's a goo done but I don't think it's one that is too relevant to the topic at hand.

By the way, there never was an email episode this week, right? I thought they mentioned they might be doing one in the podcast but I don't know if it ever happened.

Joseph Finchum said...

Barbarajay,

Your theory could still be true, because if Nadia had never talked to Charlie, he may never have saved Jack back then, let alone do the thing he is doing right now.
Look at all angles before you dismiss your own theory.
Right Chuck?

Hi Loco's,
I am officially back.
It was wondering if we'll see Vincent again this season.I mean, he throws us a bone, and it's off to his jungle hidaway again.Maybe he was found by the real natives of the Island and they have made him their King;(ala Pirates 2).
On TLG portal:I think people are transported to TLG then placed into the sub, where they wake up; after a short trip to Otherville. The guys playing cards and stuff may have just been a set up.
Maven,
Sorry about your mess.
At least now, maybe now you can do some remodeling,or make some changes that you've been wanting to make in your home.

Live Podcast tonight,yea.

TakesaVillage said...

(I was wondering,)

Capcom said...

LOL Village! I can totally see Vincent in the island king chair! Sounds like a nice avatar for someone to make as well! :o) How about one of the doggie lovers on the blog?

Thanks for the reminder to go over to read your blog Fenris, I keep forgetting to, and I want to catch up on your theories, I'm way behind. Nice avi, somehow I can picture Patchy being a ladies man in his pre-Dharma life when he was a dashing Soviet officer, but since he has aquired such nasty dental hygiene on the island, he can probably only get hard-up Dharma/Hostile chicks like Ms.Klugh. :o)

Wow, creepy thought about Alex puposely gutting daddy's favorite animal. But possible!

I really hope that the Others took some Dharma soap and anticeptic with them on there campout. :-p

The possibilities of the new station have given me the same creepy but excited feelings that I got when the Swan first showed up. I hope that it's at least as statisfying, if not more so, as the Swan elements were!

Darkaardvark said...

"I was wondering if we'll see Vincent again this season."

I would advise you to tune in to the season finale ;)

There's a shot in the promo of Jack leading the Lostaways with Vincent tagging along.

TakesaVillage said...

Thanks Darkaardvark, good catch.

Joseph Finchum said...

In case it wasn't mentioned he was in Greatest Hits as well. In the scene where Hurley offers to help Claire, as they walk away Hurley is holding the leash and Vincent is right beside him.

Twinkle said...

Nice avatar, capcom! I just saw the episode tonight and checked out J. Wood's analysis on DarkUFO. Interesting stuff! Love the way he incorporated Kierkegaard. I sure wish they'd fill us in on the truth about the swimming/not swimming Charlie thing. Can't wait for the finale!

Unknown said...

you know it, ded.

Twinkle said...

We also watched V for Vendetta and Night at the Museum this weekend. You'd think they'd all be quite distinct subject matter, but the parallels between this episode and these movies really stands out to me. All are about a person becoming more than what they were: Charlie accepting his death like Evey, Charlie being selfless and serving others like Larry Daley. Is this a growing theme with Hollywood productions or is it just my taste in entertainment?

Capcom said...

Tx Twinkle, nice to hear from you. I'm glad that you got to see the ep in a more timely fashion than usual. :o) Will you get to watch next week in real-time?

Next week is bitter-sweet, of course. I can't wait to see it, but then bye-bye Losties for a lonnnng time. Boohoo. I would even take another bad 'Bad Twin' book on this break, just to get a little taste. Maybe we will get some juicy Lost magazine features during the summer to reward the faithful, i.e., us. It wouldn't hurt the mysteries to publish some schematics and details of the LG, if they show us a lot of it next week.

Good Morning LoCos
For any of the stay at homes like me that's interested Evangeline Lily is going to be on Regis and Kelly this morning.

Tess315 said...

Well all Evangeline said was that the season finale will have the biggest reveal in Lost history and it tells you where the next three seasons are heading.
Which I think Carlton and Damon have already said.
She's also doing a movie this summer with John Malkovich. Which probably most of you guys already knew.
