Ji Yeon - Season 4, Episode 7

Who will round out the Oceanic Six? How exactly does Ji Yeon translate into English? Is the "man on the boat" who everyone thinks he is? What about the captain? Hopefully all of these questions will be answered for us in this second to last episode before the break. Chat away my friends!

First? Huzzah!

That didn't take long :)

Melissa_Lossa said...

Hee,hee - I have to admit, that gave me a little bit of glee. :)

I am recently new to Lost, but have finally caught up to the present episodes. I was wondering a good reference for all the subtleties (sp?) and things that I might not understand? I know this is a little off topic, but didn't know where else to look.

Melissa_Lossa said...

Oh no she DIDN'T!!

Sayid'sgirl said...

Really how is that going to get Sun off the island?

Melissa_Lossa said...

Hey, sweet d! Welcome to Lost. :)

A great resource is Lostpedia

You can find pretty much anything you want there.

This is also a really friendly site, and anyone here would be happy to answer any questions you have. Just ask!

Ange said...

sweet d Try Lostpedia.

And oh my I have a brand new hatred for Juliet.

jess4ua said...

What I want to know, is why the heck Juliette cares so much if Sun dies?

Capcom said...

Welcome Sweet!

Wow, why the heck did Juliet say that?!

jess4ua said...

Triple posting, how about that :)

Capcom said...

This...is...really...weird. Hope we find out what was wrong with Regina. Our relationship with her was short and sweet. :-p

DeDJeZTeR said...

Was that Michael in the Blue rain gear... I thought so, but it could be mis-direction with someone who looks like him.

Melissa_Lossa said...

Did that guy say his name is Captain God?

Sayid'sgirl said...

The store owner said something about the year if the dragon. The next one is in 2012. Who would keep a stuffed animal that long?

Sweet D said...

Thanks for the input! I love this show...watched the pilot and was immediately addicted!

Sayid'sgirl said...

Was that the name in the obit?

Capcom said...

Holy ravioli!

Melissa_Lossa said...

Oh, Mikey's about thirty seconds away from a Sayid-style beat down.

Melissa_Lossa said...

sayid's girl - I think it was John Latham.

Sayid'sgirl said...

I think it was Capt. Gault

Sayid'sgirl said...

Thanks Melissa

Sayid'sgirl said...

Hey Michael is a "workman" lol sorry couldnt resist.

Melissa_Lossa said...

That makes more sense. :)

DeDJeZTeR said...

So where is Walt?

jess4ua said...

WAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Also, I think Walt is still on the island.

Melissa_Lossa said...

WTF?!

Melissa_Lossa said...

So was Jin in flashback and Sun in flashforward? Or did Jin fake his death?

Melissa_Lossa said...

I am going to be so sad if Jin is really dead. He's one of my favorite characters!

jess4ua said...

ML- Jin was in a FB for sure, he said he was only married for two months. And Sun was in a FF. Those sneaky PTB!

jess4ua said...

I think he is really dead, and I had to go get a tissue. All of my friends are dying. :(

Capcom said...

Wow, I really cried during this one. First when they made up, and in the end at the cemetery. :-( Bravo TPTB!

Melissa_Lossa said...

Yeah, that makes sense. I wondered if he was undercover or something, but I guess it wouldn't make sense for him to be in hiding and still working for Paik. That was sneaky!

I was feeling throughout Jin's Panda odyssey that something seemed off with the timing between he and Sun, but I never guessed they were two completely different timelines.

jess4ua said...

Yeah, I was so shocked! Mostly thinking that Jin went back to his old ways, and my heart was breaking for that, until he said how long he had been married.

Sayid'sgirl said...

There are three years that I can make out on the headstone 1980,1974 and 2004. Just looked again it says 9-22-2004.

Erich said...

Tricky tricky. Flashback and flashforward. So Jin never made it off the island (judging by the 2004 death date on his tombstone)? I guess that makes Aaron the official final member of the O6? Or are we still not sure?

Even though we all knew Michael was coming (and the ABC promo dept. didn't help anything by basically telling us so last week), it must have been a cool reveal for those who aren't as nuts as us.

martysbaybay said...

Ok, I'm totally confused..what just happened?

OMG!..He can't be dead.

Scene at the headstone was almost too much...I can admit it, I cried.
.
They belong together.

Melissa_Lossa said...

Crap - this means I'm going to get screwed in the fantasy league again. Jin's been sucking points away because he's missed so many episodes - and now I'll get negative death points!

I give up.

Erich said...

So, who trusts the captain? Is Ben behind the 324 corpses at the bottom of the sea? I wonder what's on that black box.

Lost 2010 said...

I think Jin was in flashback because he said he'd only been married 2 months. And Sun was in flashforward because the lady with her (her mother?) said she was one of the Oceanic 6.

So are they all revealed now?

Jack, Kate, Hurley, Aaron, Sun, and Sayid????

She sure did seem like Jin was really dead. There didn't seem to be anyone to play that little scene at the graveyard for if he's not.

jess4ua said...

Sayid's girl- That is interesting that the tomb would say 9/22/04. There must be another lie in there somewhere?

Melissa_Lossa said...

sayid's girl - then they must say that Jin died in the crash, right? With the 9/22/04 date. Maybe he's not really dead, then - maybe he's still on the island! He said he would do anything to protect Sun and Ji Yeon. Maybe he had to stay behind for some reason.

1974 must be his birthday, making him 33 or 34 right now. I wonder what 1980 is for?

Sayid'sgirl said...

jess
I know that would making him dying the day of the crash.

Lost 2010 said...

But if they aren't really dead and are back waiting on the island, it does give us one more of our favorites to root for I suppose.

I mean, if Sawyer, Claire, Jin, and Locke are still there - I'm ready for Jack to go back and get them.

experimentalfilm! said...

oOOOOOOOH no way !
omg
omgomg
GENIUS !!
how did they do that .
they never said they were gonna do two in one episode !

i thought maybe she THOUGHT he was dead but .. that would be way complicated . this makes muuch more sense .

experimentalfilm! said...

well siince the oceanic six apparently have to lie about everyone else .. they would have to say that jin died in 04 . it sounds like hes still on the island but ..... maybe he DID die ..

Ange said...

If they stick to Jack's court story Jin would have had to die the day of the crash to back the story up. So it seems he didn't make it off the island at all but we have yet to see how he dies.

Capcom said...

At first I thought that if Widmore staged the freckage, maybe the the freighter is there to exchange the fake blackbox with the real blackbox that's somewhere on the island, to prove to the NTIS that it's the real deal.

Now though, they are making it sound as if Ben is behind the freckage. Oy vey!

Sayid'sgirl said...

I'm not sure about the other date. It might be Sun's birthdate if it's a family plot.

Melissa_Lossa said...

How pissed is Desmond to find out Charles Widmore owns the freighter? :)

And what's up with the crew's "cabin fever"? I'd say that wrapping yourself in chains and jumping into the ocean qualifies you as more than stir crazy.

jess4ua said...

I think he is really dead though. I don't think Sun was faking that.
Also, I think we are still missing an O6.

Ange said...

Okay was that like a head shot blood stain on the cabin wall?

experimentalfilm! said...

well sun could still be upset if hes on the island and knows that she can probably never get to him again .

what'd the rest of the tombstone say ? anybody speak kooorean ?

Lost 2010 said...

It's almost like 1/2 of every duo makes it.

Hurley makes it but not Libby.
Aaron makes it but not Claire.
Kate makes it but not Sawyer.
Jack makes it but not Juliet.
Sun makes it but not Jin.
Sayid makes it but not Shannon.
Ben makes it but not Locke.

There are two many dead people on that list for my taste though. I take it back.

Sayid'sgirl said...

I'm confused. Did Jin get off the island or not? Judging by the date not. So how have we seen all the O6? Are they counting Aaron after all?

jess4ua said...

Ange- UHUH!!! But who's??? Or maybe it is just for effect that they are all going nutso.

Ange said...

I agree Jess, I am still sticking to the thinking that Aaron doesn't count as an O6.

Amused2bHere said...

But they said we'd know the last of the Oceanic 6 with this episode.

I guess they are counting Aaron?

grrr. I don't want Jin to die!

I also teared up at the last 15 minutes. Way to mess with my emotions, TPTB.

Lost 2010 said...

Sorry. two=too.

experimentalfilm! said...

hahahaha lost 2010 .... you made it sound like locke and ben were a couple . thats a funny image .

jess4ua said...

Sayid's girl- I am wondering if Jin does make it off, but maybe gets the sickness or something and doesn't actually live. So the other O6 have to lie and say he died at the time of the crash because there are not supposed to be any other survivors, for some reason not yet known to us.

Lost 2010 said...

I don't want to watch 2 more seasons just to find out how they all die. Come on, they have to be alive somewhere.

Melissa_Lossa said...

I like the doc's comment that the blood shouldn't still be there. He seemed very passive about the whole thing. That definitely looked like blood spatter from a gunshot to the head - I watch CSI, I know what these things look like! :) LOL

Lost 2010 said...

experimental - What? They're not? (oops, didn't really mean to imply that - just that they are kindred spirits)

Amused2bHere said...

Yeah, Locke and Ben. Odd couple, indeed!

ew, now I have to wash my mind out with soap...

jess4ua said...

ML- Also, they were very casual about Regina wrapping herself in chains and jumping off the boat as well. Disturbingly!!!

Lost 2010 said...

In my defense, I had Claire and Aaron on there and they aren't a couple.

Amused2bHere said...

Why did Hurley seem so happy that none of the other O6 were going to be there? Who is he avoiding?

Capcom said...

This one really threw me, I have to watch it a few more times for it to sink in properly.

Melissa_Lossa said...

Good point, amused? This must only be a couple of months after their rescue - is Hurley feeling guilty about not going with Jack? Why is he happy to see Sun, but no one else?

Oh and I loved Hurley's comment that Ji Yeon was awesome. :)

Melissa_Lossa said...

Sorry, amused - I didn't mean for that to be a question. It WAS a good point. :)

experimentalfilm! said...

hahhaa ben totally wears the pants in the ben-locke relationship .

so theres something about being too close to the island on the freighter that makes people go wacko ... minkowskis partner going crazy when they went out towards the island ? regina actin all crazy ....

Steve said...

Ok... so the headstone says Jin died in the crash itself. So he never leaves the island or dies on the freighter.

Michael changed his name to hide what he did in the hatch, but how exactly does he get recruited to help out on the freighter? Obviously he's not the 6th O6 then, right?

Our OBU Clique said...

I think Michael changed his name so no one would know he was from Oceanic Flight 815. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to stay hidden because everyone would be freaked out that he survived a crash that people thought was found. (And also, if the people on the freighter knew he was from the flight, they'd be freaked out).

Hum... Michael being the last of the 06 is a possibility.

Melissa_Lossa said...

dark ufo has some screen grabs on the tombstone up already. The dates are: March 20, 1980, November 27, 1974 and September 22, 2004.

Oddly, if the 1980 date is Sun's date of birth, that makes her and Jin almost the exact same ages as me and Mr. Mel. :)

Oh and there's another funny easter egg - the TV show that Sun turns off in the beginning is Expose, the scene with Nikki's confrontation with the Cobra!

jess4ua said...

Okay, Michael changed his name, because he is Ben's "man on the boat".

Our OBU Clique said...

jess4ua, good point. Michael has several reasons not to want people to know his name.

So, where's Walt?

Sayid'sgirl said...

I was wondering if that was Expose. I didn't get a quick enough look at it. Then forgot about it.

jess4ua said...

I have a feeling that Walt is still on the island! I am not sure why, but I think he has a ton of power there and is up to something. Maybe Ben is forcing him, or maybe not.

LostIt said...

Sayid's girl,

In the last post, you said "On another note I was right about it being Annie and not Ben's mom that Juliet reminded him of."

Where did you get confirmation of that?

jess4ua said...

Yeah, I caught that too SG. But she sure doesn't look like Annie, huh?

Erich said...

When we found out Jin doesn't make it off the island, my first thought was: "So I guess Aaron counts as one of the O6." But now that I think about it, I wouldn't put it past TPTB to be pulling another fast one about the whole "you'll know who the O6 are" after this episode. There's no reason the last slot couldn't be filled by Michael. Now that would be a twist! (Not to mention proving my earlier theory right about his being part of the 6.)

Sayid'sgirl said...

lostit
It was in the enhanced version of The Other Woman.

Amused2bHere said...

Ok, wait a minute:

1. If Michael is one of the O6, then Walt can't be included.

2. Is Walt the reason there's a 'noisy' part of the boat? Is that who is sabotaging the boat's engine and communication room, maybe with his mind?

3. I agree that Michael can't use his name on board because the crew probably would recognize his name as being one of the passengers of O815.

As for that last point, Lostit, the enhanced repeat of The Other Woman had a pop up about Annie when Harper tells Juliet she looks just like "her". I think the PopUp writers are misleading us.

Melissa_Lossa said...

Well, I'm outta here. Figure it all out while I'm gone, okay? :)

Good night!

Ange said...

Ange said...

Oh Amused, I really like your #2!

My opinion (take it as you will), is that Aaron is not an O6. Mainly because I don't believe that Kate would be allowed to adopt a child let alone care for one in a foster capacity when the state intended to put her in prison. So she is passing him off as her own child, and unless she had him on the plane he can't be an Oceanic 6.

LostIt said...

Thanks! I missed the first part of the enhanced version of The Other Woman. I was at a dance class and didn't set up my Tivo to record. It records the main episode, but I never setup the 8:00 show.

I'm not really buying it, though. I don't think Juliette looks at all like Annie.

LostIt said...

Amuesed, your #2 sounds very plausible.

Ange, I agree with you about Aaron. Michael use be the last O6.

So who was in the coffin? I'm not convinced anymore that it's Micheal, but I can' think of who else it might be.

Darkaardvark said...

Didn't get to watch this episode live... but I'm here now.

Maybe TPTB told us 'you'll know who all of the O6 are by the end of the episode' so that we wouldn't be suspicious... a bit of a long con, if you will. I mean, I think it'd be too obvious if they said we wouldn't know but saw both Jin and Sun... *shrug*

Steve said...

LostIt said...

I've forgotten the bit of obit we used to decipher from... is it possible it is Sayid in the coffin?

If he's working for Ben, then Jack would definitely wash his hands of him. Also, his little hitman stint can't be good for his longevity.

Sayid'sgirl said...

True being a hit man is a dangerous job, but so far he has always introduced himself with his real name.

scoutpost said...

Whoa- I just got to the part where Juliet told Jin that Sun had an affair! Dang Juliet...I can't decide if I should love her or hate her.

Amused2bHere said...

I think Juliet knew that unless she shot Sun, they were going to leave. Not wanting to really shoot her, she used words to shoot a hole in Sun's plan to leave.

And it worked.

MoreLostThanU said...

The big question is who dies? I don't think it is Jin. But who the heck is it? Michael? Does the Captain find out who he is? Did Ben take "the boy" off the boat for a second time and has him captive on the island?

That would sort of make sense. My new prediction is Walt is the 6th person of the O6.

Sayid'sgirl said...

So I'm trying to sort this out. Do you think maybe Jin is working for Ben? He said he would do anything to protect Sun and their child. But unlike Sayid he is doing something on the island. I'm thinking his grave is empty since the date is 9-22-2004 and that they say he died in the crash. But with that date Sun couldn't say Jin was the father of her child. How do they work that out?

scoutpost said...

huh.
Knew Jin was going to die...but didn't know how it would all happen. My head is hurting though. Was that a Sun FF and Jin FB?

If someone is going to die next week, wonder if it's Claire...and that's how Kate ends up with Aaron?

I have to say, these FF's are real downers. :(

Going to read comments.

Codysmom said...

I am so confused.....

scoutpost said...

Ok so it was a Jin FB- that makes sense re: the year of the dragon comment and the old cell phone. I thought that was odd, you'd think after last season's cell phone hint with Jack that I would've picked up on that!

melissa lossa- Jin is on my LFL too!! We are soooo tanking. There is no hope.

I think Regina jumping overboard is the sickness- although you'd think they would've tied her up in sick bay like Minkowski. But considering the gunshot stain in the cabin, maybe they didn't care as much about regular crew members and Minkowski got special treatment. Reminded me of Radzinsky's stain on the ceiling of the Swan.

Who IS Hurley avoiding and why...yes indeed that is a good question.

I agree that Michael probably changed his name to conceal his true identity, but Doc Jensen brought up a good point:
How did Michael leave the island, get on the freighter without Walt and without anyone suspecting he was an 815 survivor, AND decide to work for Ben (assuming he is Ben's mole) in such a short amount of time? I think Doc said that according to Lostpedia the time frame between him leaving the island and having to get on the freighter was only about 2 weeks.

If Jin is not dead, meaning grave=empty, and he still on the island, (and thinking if it were me), I don't know that I would feel compelled to visit the gravesite. So I have to think Jin really is dead. But sheesh what happens that causes the O6's futures to be falling apart so badly?

Sayid'sgirl said...

I'm more tired than usual. So I'm going to mark my place and read the west coast comments tomorrow. Night all.

Sayid'sgirl said...

oops almost made it.
scoutpost
I know I wondered about the cell phone to but it didn't click for me, but it should have. Ther I read the comments and it was oh geez.
Now good night for real this time.

scoutpost said...

Good nite Sayid's girl! See you in the am.

Codysmom said...

OK, so I now realize it was a Jin flashback, but...... I guess I didn't think they'd do that (mixed in with Sun's FF)... tricky!

OH, and sayid'sgirl.... you and I were both right about Annie... I just couldn't wrap my mind around the Oedipus complex thing with Ben and I think Ben's relationship with Annie will prove to be important in the future.

I guess it's safe to go read Doc Jensen now, even tho I should be in bed!

scoutpost said...

Well I was trying to find more info on Korean gravestones. What I did find was some info on Japanese headstones (and of course I learned a little of this from Heroes- but that is another story;)). It is common, when a person dies that if they have a spouse the spouse's name is carved on the stone at the same time (and then written in red- but that is getting away from things). My guess is that the dates are Jin's birthdate and date of death (?) and also Sun's birthdate. Just like someone suggested above.

Maven are you here yet? I'm thinking you should be here soon :)

Dennis said...

Good episode! My wife cried at the end ;(

That's a great observation about the dates on the tombstone. I mentioned to my wife that it was the date of the crash, but I couldn't figure out why they didn't have the date he died... duh. I think there's hope that Jin is still alive and just got left behind.

The name of the captain was Gault. Wikipedia has a listing for a Captain Gault:

Captain Gault is a fictional sea captain created by English writer William Hope Hodgson. Captain Gault seems to be a captain for hire, ... a morally ambiguous character who follows the pattern of many famous fictional criminals: although a law-breaker... he proves also to have a strict moral code... he seems to be highly placed in a secret society; he has occult knowledge about arcane religious artifacts... In general, he reveals himself to have surprising resevoirs of specialized knowledge.

The Captain Gault stories tend to follow several patterns. Most of the stories are about smuggling, usually involving a great deal of cleverness; often the plot centers around information that is known to Captain Gault but not provided to the reader. There is usually some kind of misinformation ... sometimes Gault's own confidants are fed misinformation so that they can reveal it, as part of the deception.

Quickie (then I'll catch up):

Boo-Hoo! Jim is dead? When did he die? On island or with O6?

Those sneaky PTB! A FF and a FB! I admit it: I was fooled! LOL

Codysmom said...

scoutpost, there's an explanation of the gravestone at dark ufo's in the comments with the screencaps.

FoxySmile said...
"It is written on the tombstone that (right column to left column)
1. 2004/9/22 is the death date of tomb's owner. (Korean's order of date is yyyy/mm/dd)
2. 1974/11/27 is the birth date of tomb's owner.
3. The tomb of Namhae Kwon Jin Soo (first two letter Namehae is the hometown of Jin, but I think people have some kind of other name which represents his/her life motto or soemthing, not something to do with their hometown. Well, maybe Namhae has something to do with Jin's motto...)
4. 1980/3/20 is the birth date of of wife of tomb's owner, Paik Sun Hwa.

and the mound next to the tomb is the general grave in Korea. We make a mound on the place where the coffin is buried.

scoutpost said...

Ah thanks codysmom. Good to know what we're working with. The question re: Jin's fate still remains though. I hope he's still alive. I've always liked Jin.

Codysmom said...

also:
Mair said...
"...from a website via google: Husbands and wives are often buried together in Korea, and the tombstones are made with both names on. When the first spouse dies, they are buried, and their tombstone, with the surviving partner's name taped over, is put up. So there literally is a grave with your name on it in Korea."

scoutpost, it seemed so genuine to me when Sun visited the grave and was crying....

scoutpost said...

Thinking about Hurley- it is odd in a way that he would travel all the way to Korea to see Sun's baby but not Jack. I can see why Kate and Sayid wouldn't show up, but it would seem like Jack would have gone. Maybe that is who Hurley is trying to avoid- because of his decision to go with Locke. Wow I hope we get an answer to why he regrets that so much.

BTW, what was up with Regina 'reading' the book upside down. Lapidus' reaction to that was very strange.

Here are some screenshots from Sledgeweb:

scoutpost said...

I know codysmom...that makes me think Jin really is dead. I know she could grieve just as hard if he were left behind on the island, but I wouldn't think she would feel compelled to go to the gravesite. hmmm- just don't know.

Codysmom said...

From now on I'm really going to have to look at the cell phones to know what year it is... LOL

I still think this episode was confusing...
Regina killing herself
the blood on the wall... yes, spatter a la csi
Jin's FB... what was the point other than to trick us?

scoutpost said...

ok- so another book to add to the book club list? Man we're going to have to become speed readers to keep up with this show.

How in the world do they reconcile Jin's death on 9/22/2004 I wonder?

scoutpost said...

I think it was mainly trickery, but it did show us again how much Jin had changed.

BTW- Sun and Jin working things out was wonderful- but was anyone else thinking- "yeah right it's that simple"? ;)

Codysmom said...

scoutpost said...
I think it was mainly trickery, but it did show us again how much Jin had changed.

I did think of that

Why would they show people trying to foil Jin's attempts to get to the hospital and get rid of his cell phone?

Codysmom said...

Jules Verne's The Survivors of the Chancellor

At the beginning of its voyage, the Chancellor carried eight passengers and twenty crew members. By the end, only eleven people (five passengers and six crew) remained alive.

maven said...

Thanks, Codysmom, for the info on the gravestone. (BTW: Sun's birthdate is the same as my hubby's...March 20...coming up soon) Jin's death must be part of the big lie. Maybe Jack couldn't bring himself to go to Korea to face Sun..reliving the lie. Kate wouldn't go and leave Aaron. And Sayid is playing assassin somewhere! Maybe Hurley is afraid of running into Charlie again?

Loved Bernard's little marriage talk with Jin. "Guess we're the good guys" emphasizes the old question of who's who and who do we trust.

Sun questioning whether or not to trust Juliet, Sayid and Desmond not trusting the Captain, etc....who to trust is a theme of this episode.

Good catch on the cell phone for Jin's FB. Future Jack's cell phone was such a big issue before. We all should have known!

Regina's "cabin fever" was very strange. Maybe they've given up trying to save their crew members. Are they just stir crazy or time shifting like Minkowski?

I can understand why Michael changed his name, since he was on the manifest. But the time line for him being on the freighter is confusing. Wouldn't the Captain suspect this newcomer as the saboteur? Is Walt banging on the pipes?

Ange: I know that bloodstain was awful. Could it be one of the other crew members that got this "cabin fever"? Was reminiscent of Radzinksy's blook stain in the hatch. He probably got cabin fever, too!

maven said...

Must say I did catch that quick shot of "Expose" while Sun was packing her toothpaste!

scoutpost said...

Well I just read the wiki entry on The Survivors of the Chancellor- gotta tell you, this show is going dark places...LOL

Interesting though as to how it might tie in to LOST, or if it just represents what is happening already. J. Wood should have some interesting things to say about it.

maven, too bad about the time difference.... I have to go to bed! I agree with all your points and I'm wondering about the craziness on the boat (that seems to be not surprising to the rest of the crew). So, the captain wants to move the ship further away from the island to get away from the craziness? It's being in that spot that is causing the problems?

Codysmom said...

scoutpost, yes... I read the wiki... very dark indeed (canibalism? yikes!

Dennis said...

I'm starting to think that it makes more sense that Jin is still alive.

Anyone who is not part of the Oceanic 6 'officially' died in the plane crash.

She was asking them to call him at the hospital. It seems more like a slip-up of the lie that she has to tell to cover up the island, than 'forgetting' that he is dead.

Plus at the cemetery, she says "I wish you could have been there... I miss you so much." That could just as easily work for him being on the island as opposed to being dead.

Codysmom said...

maven, I think that's the only thing I did catch, too (Nicki from Expose... a rerun I guess)

Also, wasn't that Jin's mother in the labor room?

It's either that, or more lima beans ;) Now we know what the problem in the kitchen is.

Seriously though, maybe the problem in the kitchen it that the chef killed himself, possibly explaining the bloodstain in the room...

Good night all!

See you tomorrow codysmom.

I wonder how the whole series will end. If another FF will go beyond Jack's "We have to go baaack!" and show the O6 getting back to the island. I guess I'm still hoping for a happy ending...at this point I'm a little worried. :P

In Jin's FB it's the "Year of the Dragon" which was in 2000. So is that the date of his FB? He's still working for Paik and has only been married for 2 months.

I think Jin must still be a live on the island, and his "death" is part of the lie the O6 must live with. The only problem with this is that I can't believe that Sun would agree to this lie and leave Jin behind. Her scene at the grave site was truly believable and touching.

So Ben is behind the freckage. And that is a good question asked by Captain Gault: Where does one get 324 dead bodies?

Well everyone's off to bed. I'm going to have to head that way soon too- unless you're still here maven.

Yet Sayid and Desmond were told not to trust the captain...so is he lying about Ben being behind the freckage? Maybe Widmore is and he's trying to set Ben up. Maybe Ben is the good guy (although it's hard to see how he can redeem himself at this point).

I can only figure Jin staying behind is that Ben is manipulating it. I mean really, there are so many questions as to why those 6. Either Ben is behind who gets off the island or they just randomly draw straws.

I guess we have to assume that Aaron is part of the O6. So it's Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Aaron. These are the only ones we've seen in FFs. And the promos for tonight's episode said all the O6 would be revealed. We have not seen Michael/Kevin in a FF (except maybe in a coffin...LOL).

scoutpost said...

It is nearly impossible to get sleep after watching this show! So I'm thinking about it as I'm brushing my teeth and I am completely on board now with the theory that Jin is still alive and on the island. I can't see any other reason to list his date of death as 9/22/04 unless he is part of the lie/coverup.

But now as to the identity of the O6- I think Michael counts as the 6th. I guess we'll see if he gets an episode and if they FF with him. I think they will. They haven't done any FB or FF with Aaron, so there wouldn't be as much of a plot point to have Aaron count as one of the 6. (Although there must be some significance to Aaron- he's in the show a lot- if he had no significance you could lift him right out.) I really wonder if it is Michael in the coffin. He already has one alias, what's to say he wouldn't have another?
Ok now I'm really not going to think about this any more until tomorrow!

Just finished watching for the third time. Took a few times to wrap my mind around this one. Here's my obseravtions:

1. Juliet & Annie: props to those of us who fought hard for Jules looking like Annie and not Ben's mom. (gross) The pop up version of last weeks epi gave us that answer.

Still liking my theory. It goes one of two ways:

Ben loved Annie. Got her preggers. Annie died like all preggers woman on the island. That turned Ben dark to do the purge. Or Ben loved Annie and he saved her from the purge. Annie got preggers. Died. Ben became obsessed with fixing the preggers problem on the island, and as a bonus Jules looked liked Annie.

I'd bet on the second version.

2. Jin was in a flash back as I'm sure many of us figured out. The first key was the cell phone they obviously dropped and zoomed in on, and the year of the dragon line. The cell phone looked old and reminded me of Jack's new phone in the flash forward. The big reveal was at the end when he said he was married for two months. TPTB did a good job on that one.

3. Unibomber Michael: Not sure how many people saw this, but when Regina jumped off the boat in chains, they panned the camera around the boat and you catch a shot of a hooded Michael, very unibomberish, standing behind two guys on the desk. That was the first confirmation that he was on the boat. Second was when he was introduced to Sayid and Dez.

4. Very puzzled by how Jin died. The three dates on the tomstone were 11/27/2004, 3/20/1980, and of course 9/22/2004. I'm assuming this is an indication that people believe Jin died in the plane crash on 9/22. Jin must die sometime soon. If he was still alive on the island Sun would not go and speak to his empty grave?? At least that's my opinion.

When the war breaks out does Jin die or sacrifice himself for Sun? Confused!

5. Speaking of the freckage, 324 dead bodies and grieveing families, and Ben was behind it. Wooah! Who the hell is Ben and how can pull that off from the island. On the other hand it was kind of nice to have a "forthcoming" moment with the captain where we got some straight answers. Even had a nice black box to back up his story. How the helll did Ben get 324 dead bodies, not to mention a PLANE.

6. Seems like the freightees are dropping like flies. What's up with the cabin fever. Is it the sickness Danielle's people got?

7. The tapping in the sub. Not a morse code expert, but is that what it was? Or is it someone repairing the engines. Maybe just another sick person doing stupid stuff for no reason? Sayid said it wasn't a mechanical noise.

TPTB made a point of mentioning it. Is there a sub beneath them picking up the sounds? I would think it would have to be very loud for anything submerged to hear that noise? How would Mike be sending Ben info with no radios?

8. The note not to trust the captain seemed very Waltish to me. Walt is always the one warning people, not Michael. And the handwriting seemed kind of amateurish.

9. We see once again this week that Jules and Jack both seem to care too much about their patients. Or more than a doctor should according to their standards. Last week she was crying over one of her patients when Goodwin wlaked in, and this week she goes to huge legnths to convince Sun and Jin to stay, and then balls about it.

10. Bernard finally shows some loyalty. The scene was a good male bonding scene, but I was proud to see someone finally show some loyalty to Jack. Locke has acted very shady and killed people to follow his calling, almost like a crazed religious fanatic. Jack has laways acted selflessly and in the best interest of the group.

Even though Rose doesn't want to leave, they stayed with Jack. Why? "Because it was the right thing to do." I was glad to finally see some loyalty.

11. What was the deal with my boy Hurley. "Is anyone else coming? Good." Was he afraid to see Jack? That scene didn't sit well with me at all.

12. I still don't think Aaron is in the 6 and someone else is in the group. Guess I was wrong about Jin.

Going to catch up now.

DiggityDirge said...

just caught up. Props to us Annie campers. Boo to the Ben's mom campers.

ok....so the third date on the grave is is Sun's bday from everyone's comments. Still very confused about Jin's death. He has to be dead or Sun wouldn't go to the grave with the baby. I just can't see it.

But, as part of whatever deal they make, she has to keep how he died a secret along with the fate of everyone else from the flight. Still confused on this!

Good Morning LoCos!
I am blown away...again. This season is just incredible. I don't think Jin is really dead. I think there were deals made between Ben and the Losties in order to get some of them off the island, and the rest are held "captive" to insure cooperation. Still can't figure out the timeline with Michael and Walt. I do think that the O6 are Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Aaron. I don't think Michael has revealed his true identity, so I don't think he would count.
I agree with comments above (or maybe in the last thread) that Widmore knows more than we can imagine, and I believe that he amassed great wealth using the unique time travel properties of the island. However, who/what was his constant?
Going to watch this ep again, so much stuff to think about and speculate on!

From what I've seen, there are two schools of thought here on Jin's death. Either Jin died on the island, and Sun knows it. Or, Jin is alive on the island, and the gravestone is just to hold up the O6 story. In this theory, Sun knows that Jin is acutally alive on the isalnd.

I think it's also quite possible that Jin is alive on the island and Sun does NOT know it. Perhaps the O6 believe all their friends are dead. After all, we have no idea what circumstances the O6 leave under. Maybe that's why Hurley won't talk to Charlie -- wouldn't he want to help is friends if he knew they were alive? Maybe this is why Kate is so unwilling to consider going back to the island. I don't think Aaron and/or a legal requirement to stay in California would be enough to keep her from trying to save her friends, if she thought they were alive.

Also, I think Aaron has to count as an O6. I doubt if the news media - which is where the name 'Oceanic 6' would have come from - would be so technical as not to include Aaron because he wasn't yet born at the time of the crash. He's a part of the Oceanic story and therefore one of the Oceanic 6. Otherwise you'd have news stories about 'The Oceanic 6 and also that kid' and, let's face it, that headline is way too clunky.

Lost 2010 said...

It's looking more and more like following Team Locke or Team Jack has absolutely nothing to do with whether you get off the island.

Jack, Kate, Sun, and Sayid are on the beach. Hurley and Aaron are at the barracks. That's almost an even split.

I didn't catch the split ff/fb, I just thought the whole thing was a flashback because of the cellphone. Then after the mention of O6 I was just confused.

I'm starting to think that it makes more sense that Jin is still alive.

Anyone who is not part of the Oceanic 6 'officially' died in the plane crash.
.....Plus at the cemetery, she says "I wish you could have been there... I miss you so much." That could just as easily work for him being on the island as opposed to being dead.

Dennis I agree with this.
But also I'm thinking maybe Ben forced this. Since he seems to be the one behind getting the O6 off the island. I also thought maybe he was doing things for Ben on the island since he said he'd do anything to protect Sun and his child. But I may be wrong on this thought.

I kind of guessed it was Expose on the TV (what else would it be)but I didn't actually catch it.

The don't trust the Captain note I thought may have been from Michael because he's working for Ben.

Oh I think visiting the grave could either be part of keeping the lie. You would want to let your husband know about his daughter.

cmon get happy said... Maybe that's why Hurley won't talk to Charlie -- wouldn't he want to help is friends if he knew they were alive?

The The Beginning of The End, Charlie tells Hurley "They Need You", and Hurley then wants to go back to the island. I think they know that there are people on the island, even if they chose to stay there.

Maybe part of the 'big lie' is that it is Hurley's baby ;) That's why he went to Korea and is glad no one else is there.

Lost 2010 said...

So, I'm still thoroughly confused but this is how I'm leaning. . .

Theory: The Oceanic 6 leave the island in the next 7 months.

Reasoning: Sun’s baby is born in Korea and she’s currently 2 months pregnant. People at the hospital recognize her as one of the Oceanic 6.

Theory: Hurley hasn’t been committed yet in July of 2005.

Reasoning: Hurley shows up in Korea to support Sun when she takes the baby to ‘see her father’.

Theory: I think Jack and Kate had coffee a time or two after they got back. In the time period when she was out of jail awaiting arraignment (or whatever the legalese was there.)

Reasoning. Jack got that goofy grin on his face when he told Hurley people asked him for his autograph when he went out for coffee.

Theory: Which leads to the theory that I think Hurley’s flashforward was sometime between July 2005 and the end of 2006.

Reasoning: I also think that Jack’s main reason for checking up on Hurley was to make sure he wasn’t about to ruin Jack’s testimony at Kate’s trial. And there’s something about that parking lot exchange that makes me think Jack and Kate have a little history to be told post-island but pre-trial.

Theory: Which leads to the theory that I think Kate’s trial was in late 2006 or early 2007.

Reasoning: Aaron’s age. Which is ambiguous at best.

Theory: Jack’s flashforward is some time after Kate’s trial.

Reasoning: It seems like Kate has told him not to call her again. But they do have a regular meeting spot out at the airport. “No coffee until you accept Aaron. But we can have these angsty trysts out by the airport where you squall and I pity you.”

And finally,

Theory: Sayid’s trust of either the captain or Michael is going to be the whole ‘thinking with your heart not your gun’ thing.

Reasoning: Whether they’re all dead or they’re just playing dead, the survivors of Oceanic 815 are about to be reduced from 40 something to 6. And it would seem that the freighter is going to play into all this somehow. Whatever decisions Sayid’s about to make must be pretty crucial to how this all plays out.

Another week, another high school basketball tournament preemption (girls this time). So, my Friday morning, very long episode thoughts:

MAN, Juliet's one chilly beeotch. My fiancee and I felt like the crowd at Springer when she dropped the infidelity bomb.

I thought it was odd that Jin threatened murder to the cab-shark, what with his rebirth on the Island. My intellect, however, was not on the same train as my instinct, and I didn't figure out the braided narrative until I saw the security outside the hospital room.

The way Gault built up to wanting Ben didn't make any sense to me. As I skim through the comments, I hope I find some sort of clue.

Expose! Nikki returns!

I still don't understand the layering of lies related to Oceanic 815. Why wouldn't this all-powerful conspiracy just hole up the O6, rather than let them reenter their lives? That way, no explanation would be necessary for why 6 (or 8) people survived what was previously "found" to be a total loss, and hundreds of miles away no less? I just don't get how one lie gets busted, so another lie is created with the same weakness. There's got to be a third party in this who acts on the Lostaway's behalves and in contradiction to the Abaddon agenda.

Creepy-great line: "That shouldn't still be there." (and yes, self-inflicted headshot. without any doubt) Reminds me of the end of Se7en, where they find a dead dog and Kevin Spacey says, deadpan, "I didn't do that."

The Regina suicide made me think of an Escher print. Just felt like she was moving in a direction at fundamental odds with every other observer. It's the way the ship's decks are stacked, plus the boxes she climbed up. Infinite stairwells.

Hurley's reaction to being alone with Sun almost sounded romantic. Maybe that's just Hurley's occasional social anxiety, but it sounded like he wanted some private time. It was wierd.

I just didn't know enough about Korean cell phones to use it as a basis for plotting, but the thought crossed my mind. Same as the date on the tombstone. I don't know enough about the numbering conventions to have interpreted it last night. That's what the Internet is for. : )

I'm officially siding with the "Jin's still alive" camp.

Pretty good episode! But I tend to like the Sun/Jin episodes more than most people.

May I ask where you got that specific date? Did I miss something?

Theory: Sayid’s trust of either the captain or Michael is going to be the whole ‘thinking with your heart not your gun’ thing.

This could be possible. Of the two I would say Michael if this is where his trust goes wrong. He does have a pretty good choke hold on him in the preview. But maybe Walt's in trouble and Michael begs for help. I appears that MIchael has been decieved to in preview he says (not exact quote) I thought we were going on a rescue mission to people on the ship.

With the whole FF/FB story we haven't discussed where Frank may have gone with the helicopter. They kind of covered that up with the whole Regina suicide. Do you think he may be reporting to Widmore or even picking him up and bringing him to the ship? At begining Reamy asked Frank if he was ready. Frank said he'd be up. And Reamy said don't be late Frank. I wonder if that has to do the time traveling problem.

Also when the doctor was taking Desmond and Sayid to their new "room". Why did Desmond say this ship isn't moving. And then the doctor replied well if you say so.
Is the ship suppose to be moving? I thought the engines had ben sabotaged.
Or is it that their new "quiet" room isn't near the ships engines that this exchange occurs.

Capcom said...

Looking at some of the screencaps of the ship, and considering what we saw happen there last night, methinks that Fenris has a very good case for his Philly-Experiment-Boat-Transporting-Crazy-Shipmate Theory!

I also agree with the thought that Jin is still alive on the island (he gave his rescue up for Sun's?) and Sun knows this, for the afrementioned reasons by you all, and also because Sun did not want to take her wedding ring off. If she knew that he was still alive, she may be still wearing her ring because to her, since he is still alive, they are still married. Just a guess.

Sayid'sgirl said...

Morning all! As usual, great observation and thoughts from all. And, BTW, welcome to Sweet D! We're all here to help each other understand this crazy, wonderful show!

Thanks so much for the warning, Kyle! Hope I don't run into that somewhere today.

Well, we all know that Jin didn't die on 9/22/04, so the grave is a lie right there. It can be interpreted that Sun does not mention he's dead and only says she wishes he was here. But that scene rang so true that she believes he is dead. There's no one else around besides Hurley, so she's not "acting" to substantiate the story. It seem like a real reaction in private. She was probably told Jin died somehow in the rescue or war, and as part of the lie/cover-up they said use the plane crash date as date of death.

It's very strange that Regina was guarding Sayid and Desmond. Why would they trust someone about to go over the edge with guard duty? She even reads books upside down! And what is it about them being in proximity to the island that causes this "sickness"? The reaction of the crew and Captain to this is one of inevitability, and letting those affected to kill themselves rather than deal with it. That blood stain must have been another crew member who got "sick".

Well, Juliet must have been pretty desperate to blurt out about Sun's affair in order to convince them to stay and get off the island. But she definitely deserved that slap!

I agree with Cmon Get Happy that Aaron has to be included in the O6 or else the headline would be "The Oceanic 6 and also that kid". The promos for last night's episode said all of O6 would be revealed...which was Sun being the 6th member. We have not seen Michael/Kevin in a FF as an O6 (unless he's in the coffin), so I'm going with Aaron as the member.

Interesting that Bernard calls Locke a murderer. He was involved in trying to murder the group that invaded the beach camp. He was playing Rambo himself. But I guess that was for survival, and Locke just killed for his own reasons. I did like that Jin/Bernard fishing scene. Bernard is convinced he and Rose are doing the right thing to stay with Jack. And Karma is telling him they are the good guys.

Diggity said: The note not to trust the captain seemed very Waltish to me. Walt is always the one warning people, not Michael. And the handwriting seemed kind of amateurish.
Agree with you. The block lettering of "Don't Trust the Captain" seemed very child-like, not something an adult would quickly scrawl. Walt is on that boat somewhere banging on the pipes.

But I am confused about how and when Michael/Kevin got on the freighter. And wouldn't the Captain question a newcomer about being the saboteur?

maven said...

Sayid'sgirl: Thanks for bringing up the helicopter thing! Where did Frank go? What is his mission? That would be interesting if he went to pick up Widmore himself.

DiggityDirge said...

just caught up on this morning's comments. I am definetly in the camp that Jin is dead, or that he is alive and Sun doesn't know it. I just don't see a reason why Sun (and Hurley for that matter) would go to the grave to show Jin his daughter and talk to him. If he was alive she would have been just as effective going to the park or doing it from home. I think he is one of the 8 who didn't make it. Sun did seem generally sad and distraught.

I think it would be normal for him to have a grave just for being part of flight 815. I'm sure Oceanic as part of the settlement or their insurance paid for everyone's funeral, even if it was an empty casket. I definetly don't think she was keeping up an act as some have suggested. What would be the point? You really think it is a condition of her O6 deal that she goes to the grave and puts on a act for everyone to see? Who would care or be monitoring something like that? And don't you think it would have been a bit more obvious that Sun was faking?

Kyle aka TheBookPolice said...

Okay, so the axe embedded into the exterior wall of the Kahana (see Dark UFO screencaps page) is freaky as hell. That, combined with the "problems" in the kitchen and the seemingly-fresh suicide spatter in Sayid and Desmond's room, seems to point to a very disturbed cook.

Two references pop up there.

1) The Hunt for Red October. The spy on the Red October, who tries to subvert the Soviet captain's defection to the US, was posing as a cook. Submarines are very important in LOST, as is the theme of defection. Plus, in the film Below, ghosts pound on the hull of the submarine, causing eerie banging noises. Familiar? To top if off, Gault has a book on U-boats and the Soviet Navy on his shelf.

2) The 1914 murders at Taliesin, the home of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Perpetrated by a cook, using an axe. His motives have gone unexplained, even through his incarceration. He died of starvation. Freaky, no?

DiggityDirge said...

Why did Regina kill herself? Because she was inconsolable over the death of her lover — the late, Locke-knifed Brit Naomi. Remember the inscription on her bracelet? ''N, I'll always be with you, R.G.'' Yep: I'm thinking Regina is ''R.G.''

Good morning, everyone!

diggity - I also immediately thought of morse code when I heard that banging. Sayid seemed to be listening almost as if he was trying to decipher something. An argument against it would be that tapping out a morse code message that the whole ship could hear would be kind of dumb.

I wonder though, if that's why Sayid and Des were being moved to a "quieter" part of the ship.

I am firmly in the "Jin is alive" camp. If he's stuck on the island, and Sun thinks she will never see him again, I don't think it would be hard for her to grieve. In her mind, he might as well be dead if there's no hope of rescue.

I also don't think it would be that odd for Hurley and Sun to visit the grave together. Everyone would know that they were survivors together, and I think it would be only natural that when Hurley visited, he would go to see the grave of another 815 passenger.

This flashforward is obviously the earliest one that we've seen, as the O6 have only been back for a couple of months at most. At this point, they might think or know that they are being watched by whomever set them up. Or, they could still feel that the media is watching them, and not want to give reporters anything to question. It might look suspicious if Hurley came to visit Sun, after they had spent some time together on a deserted island, and they never acknowledged her dead husband.

DiggityDirge said...

another good idea from Doc:

Despite my theories explaining Michael's return in yesterday's Doc Jensen column, I've become quite taken by the suggestion offered by several readers that actor Harold Perrineau isn't playing Michael but rather a grown-up version of Walt. I gotta tell you I really dig that idea.

DiggityDirge said...

Melissa,

Good points. My question would be who is watching to make sure all appears normal. "The island police." I think it would so be insignificant that even the island police wouldn't care. As long as they don't give up the secrets of their O6 deal, visiting the grave wouldn't matter.

I really don't even think the media would care unless they were of the TMZ/gossip variety. Scandal: Hurley visits Sun after birth of her new baby and they don't visit dead dad. I just don't see that getting a lot of press. I think the headline would read something more to the effect "Hurley was the baby's daddy", just like a Springer epi.

Now, if Sun doesn't know Jin is alive, it makes complete sense to me. I just can't see it if Jin is really dead.

Anywho, I saw this in my science magazine and thought of ya'll. This is controversial science but it is written by a scientist too. The Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva goes online this year. When it does there's a chance that what it can do with particles could warp space-time. Here's what it said:

...a large enough concentration of mass or energy can distort time so much that it loops back on itself like a rubber sheet rolled up to make a cylinder. These loops are known to physicists as "closed timelike curves" and they ought, at least in theory, to allow us to revisit some past moment in time.

It was weird seeing stuff we talk about in a science mag.

Also supposing its true that Ben faked the freckage, could have used
Dharma bodies? Could the freighter be like many sci fi shows show ships at the edge of a black hole - engines going full throttle just to stay put?

Question for all of you avid readers:

Since we have a about a month-long hiatus coming up here, David and I would like to sneak in one book club podcast. I'm taking a vote: Would you rather do one of the books that we didn't get to last time (Carrie, Of Mice and Men or Lord of the Flies) or would you rather do one of the new books that we've seen this season (David has suggested either Valis or The Tempest)?

Remember the complete Book Club list can be found at Amazon

Let me know what you think!

Thank you. You've said everything I have said and thought and as usual have said so much better.
I agree with you completely.
I try to keep my comments condensed so I don't confuse people. Because if I don't I tend to ramble which gets even more confusing. (case in point :) )That's something that drives my son crazy when I go on and on when he already gets it.

Hey all! Just adding my 2 cents...

What a great ep, although I'm confused...which I guess is the bane of a Losties existence! :)

As much as it pains me to say it, I'm in the "Jin is dead" camp. I think Jin is one of the 8 that didn't make it. That would give (possibly) enough time for Sun to get pregnant and c/would explain why she calls out for him in delivery - that no one mentioned anything when she said "call my husband Jin." I just don't see why Sun would go to a grave if she knew he was alive somewhere. As Diggity said, there was no one watching so she could have just greived and said all that to Jin anywhere. Plus, why would Hurley travel all that way just to watch Sun talk to an empty grave?

I love the Regina and Naomi as lovers theory.

I still don't think Aaron is one of the 6, but I definitely don't think Michael is, either. So if TPTB were right and they revealed all 6 (counting Aaron) then that brings up the question again of who is in the coffin? However that person isn't necessarily one of the 6, so who knows!

Tempest! Tempest!

Another thought. This is the second flash-forward where we've seen a survivor calling or referencing an apparently-dead person as if he were alive.

I thought of that too but wouldn't they be to decomposed?

We need memphish here to put up some polls on her blog- Jin: dead or alive? Aaron: one of the O6 or no?

I have a lot of comments and questions, but I have to go now darn it...

Thanks for the heads up on the ABC promo Kyle- and that axe in the side of the boat is rather freaky. Has a Shining kind of feel to it...

I agree with I whoever said that Future Aaron is Claire’s Aaron, and Kate is passing him off as her own, because no one would let an accused murderer awaiting trial adopt a baby that has NO family connection.

So you're thinking Christian may be alive then?

I'd vote for the Jules Verne novel that Regina was reading. But then, I'm a new guy so I'm not sure I should get a vote!

Melissa_Lossa said...

Kyle - thanks for the tip on that axe - that is bizarre. I agree with scoutpost that it feels a little "Here's Johnny!"

And your vote for the Tempest is noted. :)

Also, if you really don't want to know what next week's episdoe will be about at all, I suggest trying to avoid the title of the episode. It might as well be called "This episode is about _____"

Sayid'sgirl said...

I'm in the Jin is alive camp and will probably be poven wrong.
Also as much as I hate it I'm willing to say Aaron is one of the O6. Since we've been told we've seen all of them.

cmon get happy - everyone gets a vote! We're a true democracy here, unlike the barracks. :)

Random OT thought...

Does anyone agree that when Juliet smiles she looks like a totally different person?

I'm also curious to know where he had the spare Oceanic plane lying around. I'm sure they are easy enough to come by :)

Melissa_lossa: I vote for the Valis book that Ben is reading. It's been referenced a few times on the show, and seems really important to the mythology. We need to decide soon, so, if it's a new book, we need time to read it!

Thanks Melissa
I try to advoid that for evey episode because sometimes they can be telling.
Even when I come here to comment on Thursday night I cover up the screen with a piece of paper until I get the comments screen up.
I know I'm crazy.

Sayid'sgirl said...

I guess that means I should avoid the OLP too if they do one this week.

Sayid's Girl and Melissa,

This weeks episode title is 8 words. First word, three syllables.

That hatchet in the ship is soooo creepy. If I was on the ship, I'd be so nervous and watching my back. How many crew members could there be left? LOL

Sayid'sgirl said...

LOL Very funny diggity :)

sayid'sgirl - If Sun was 2 months pregnant in December of 04, I figured she'd have the baby in roughly July of 05. And she still had that newborn look when Hurley came to see her.

That's an interesting theory that Regina was RG on Naomi's bracelet. I did seem a little strange to me that a woman was working as a crew member on a freighter, and she did seem a little "butch" to me (is that still an appropriate term?).

Also, Regina seemed very normal when she was talking on the sat phone in earlier episodes and working with Dan on the rocket experiment. When did she start losing it?
