There are lots of things different in the plane.. only one alcohol bottle for Jack, Rose is the one comforting Jack with the turbulance, not the other way around...

I am totally confused. There are 2 active timelines? The flight details are all very different from 1 bottle of vodka now vs. 2 in the pilot, to the seating locations on the plane, not to mention Jack's hair and the fact that Rose does not seem to have Bernard's ring on her necklace. But I have no idea how to reconcile that with the on Island stuff.
The plane scenes seem to be shot in an strange light

I dunno, maybe a secondary timeline splits off in 1977 where in that one, Jack and Des didn't meet at the stadium? And the island guys are still in another timeline? Barring any new fangled FBs or FFs, etc.

I think that in the end they did manage to stop everything from happening, but it just wasn't the bomb that did it.
The imploded hatch does show that it was still built. But when?

I saw Sommerhalder's name in the credits but forgot to look for Shannon's.
The Hatch doesn't look imploded to me. It looks like it looked in 1977, but perhaps that's just me.

I can't decide if Locke is lying to cover or he really Walked-about. But obviously things are different because Shannon didn't come bakc and Boone's in coach vs. business class.

We appear to be watching events of 2 separate ATL's:
The 1st -- in 2004 on O815 (a different ATL)
The 2nd -- in 2007/8 ish on the Island. (Our "usual timeline")
We can see from the imploded Swan station that is recognizable to Kate that they do not have seemed to have physically changed events of our "usual" timeline. The Swan Station was built, and to have been imploded in the same matter implies it was built back in DHARMAtime and that Des was shipwrecked on the Island and taken to the Swan by Kelvin, etc, etc-- otherwise the Swan never would have imploded

Juliet was not touched by Jacob. Sayid was. Remember when we saw the scenes with Jacob and our Losties and he touched each one...and we saw Juliet's past as a child and did not see Jacob with her.
This is difficult trying to control myself from saying too much because I'm not 100% sure where you guys are all the time! :)

I think the ATL may be a bit more than an "It's a Wonderful Life" Scenario.
Remember, Des is "uniquely, and miraculously special". I would guess that he can some how communicate or retain memories of his "counterpart". The rest of our LOSTies who were in the direct vicinity of Jughead's core detonating within the EM anomaly may also have this ability to a lesser extent -- explaining ALTJack's deja vu.
As usual the writing with involving medical science could use a little help.

Dedjezter -- Kate just recognizes the Swan implosion crater. It was me who implied that Des would have caused the implosion. I have always thought that Des turning the Failsafe and being in such close proximity within the Swan may have somehow contributed to his "specialness".

I like the 815 timeline so far, and the statue timeline. The Hatch timeline is pretty useless, no new info after the first hour.

As for this alternate timeline stuff I have about until the end of this episode until I'm ticked off by it. If it's not real why do I care? And if every universe is possible why do I care?

This is why I say that I think they will eventually stop everything from happening, but it is done differrently and starts even further back, which is why the 2004 timeline has also changed.
