Everyone getting over that post-Lost depression? If not, here's a little something to cheer you up. I just received this photo from the 12-minute featurette that will appear on Lost: Season 6 and Complete Series DVDs.
The new short is called "New Man in Charge" and it offers a look at what Hurley and Ben do as the new island overseers.
I know it's not much, but maybe it will help to ease the pain a little.

Yea! I get to say "First" again! Trying to stay away from spoilers (still) for this, too!
Question is.... do we get some interesting answers and links to those we know and love...or a whole different cast and adventure? If the former.... I'm a little disappointed that the answers come that way, rather than in the series, but may enjoy them. If the latter... I guess you just decide to enjoy something new....

Didn't take much to get me to read that spoiler SG... just the mention of it! So much for the days of avoiding even the title.
Have never heard of The Event... but enjoyed watching a program so much with you guys.... well.... I'm going to search and see what I can find...maybe see you there!
OTL: I'm very heartened by the Comic Con tweets about The Event. Everyone I know who saw the pilot loved it and assured me I will, too! It's supposed to be a cross between 24 and Lost!
Hopefully, NBC will stick with it no matter what happens! Check out Zort's new blog...TEC!

I'm curious about The Event, too - although after the vast disappointment that was FlashForward, I'm a little wary as well.

Maven- I have to laugh at this comment after watching LOST.... but 24 is toooo intense for me as far as violence/action goes. I checked out the trailer for the Event... I think I'll be open to taking a look at it, but not as hopeful as some here that it'll be my new favorite- it looked far more 24 to me than LOST.
Aren't you gonna have your head buried in your new Encyclopedias? ;-) Now those.... I have to say, are becoming more interesting to me by the little tidbits I've read....oh so many hours....
TOL: I was a fan of 24, too! LOL The Producers of The Event have stated that Lost is a big inspiration for them, and they've learned that fans want answers. We're supposed to find out some major stuff in episode 2!
I am so looking forward to the Lost Encyclopedia! Word is that it's pretty awesome!
What was the final outcome for FlashForward? Are we getting any more?
Maven- do you mean "answers" to LOST stuff in the Event Ep. 2.?????? What a hook that would be for getting people into the next show.... sigh!!! (for the record, I am NOT a 24 fan... first time I watched it, like a zillion people got violently killed, blown up, or otherwise mamed in about 30 seconds....i know people who love it... but it's too much for me!!!)
TOL: No....LOL...we can only wish we can get LOST answers in other shows! Questions raised in Ep 1 of The Event will be answered in Ep 2.
wow, I understand what Maven meant, but just think about TOLisa's comment for a moment: can u imagine getting answers to LOST in another TV series that ISN'T a spin-off? I think that would be a television first!
It would be like having Castle victim treated by House MD. Yeah, I'd love to see House and Castle in the same room. What a snark contest that would be (giggle)!

I just saw that the Lost Encyclopedia has been done by DK Books, wow, they couldn't have picked a better publisher -- their books are profusely illustrated and wonderfully crafted. It should be drool-inducing. :o)

I got my LOST complete set today. I haven't watched any of it yet, but it's here!!!! Thanks to my hubby for the birrhday gift (birthday is Saturday)

I didn't even watch the Emmys. So Lost got snubbed, eh? Weird, I thought they'd give them some kind of wrap-up bon voyage type awards after it was all over. It's all so political, those types of Hollywood peer awards don't mean much to me anymore. :-p

If anyone else got the blu-ray set and was wondering where the extra disc was...
The Box has a lift off cover for the base. Turning that cover over you will notice a cool topographical map of the island, with four symbols, one at each corner. Notice how there is a symbol at each corner on the actual island as well. Now Hold the map portion (cover)of the box sandwiched in your hands and turn the island map (which may take some elbow grease—this element of the boxed set is not particularly well designed and I think itlast very long) so the symbols turn toward each other. When the symbols on the base of the island section match the symbols on the map, the map will magically lift out of the cover, revealing the hidden Blu-ray disc.
P.s. There are no instructions on how to do this included in the box, I dropped the cover and the map shifted on its own.

Just was checking to see if there was any action here and missed a ton of birthdays! Some of you I've wished Happy Birthday on FB! So sending out belated wishes to Ded, TLC and Ib4uc!!
@Ded: I found that hidden disc because I noticed the map was "wiggly"! Finally got the Senet instruction Ankh! I just found the "hidden" candidate names on the S6 disc folder (holding it a certain way the names appear).
Th paper in the Ankh is Senet instructions? It looked like just a bunch of symbols. I assume you had to decode it?
No Lostit... in the menu for the hidden disc is an easter egg that shows a white ahnk clicking it gives you the instructions.
Oh and Maven there are alot of those hidden things in each one.
Season 1 has the plane and a page from the Green Lantern comic.
Season 2 Has the Swan hidden hatch key.
Season 3 has A Dharma poler Bear Biscuit and Bens Back x-ray.
Season 4 has D. Faraday's "Desmond wilol be my constant" notebook page and the not yet note from the Freighters bomb.
Season 5 has Lockes suicide note and the Ajira Symbol and as you know...
Season 6 has the names.
So does the paper in the Ankh mean anything? I assume it must have some meaning. I haven't tried very hard to decode it yet.
I have actually never looked at it. I do not want to take it out, incase I can't get it back in that little hole... What does it say?

The Ankh paper is a code to find the Ankh icon on the secret disc to see a video of instructions on how to play Senet.

The Event is tonight! I'm going over to that site next. Also, Hawaii 5-0 is on tonight. They had the lead guy on Ellen this morning. He said something about being shirtless most of the time. He ain't Sawyer, but I'll have to check this out, LOL!

Ahh! Never mind! My husband got it wrong. There's a new JJ Abrams show and Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn are supposed to be in the pilot. It's not a LOST sequel.

Lost is very very successful show. I like this show. I have seen full show online. And I enjoy the storyline of this show a lot. Lost is my favorite tv show.
