HI! Posting for emails and I'm just wicked excited, spoiler free, and curious about the "thingee" Capcom saw a picture of but not enough to want to know what it is.
Happy Lost Finale Day!
It was a prop thingy in the grass (probably not its actual place in the show if real), in a spoiler pic last summer, that was included with spoiler pix of the Tempest that we now know about. Back then, it was speculated to be just a joke put out for set-spies, but maybe not. If real, it might have something to do with Mr.Fourtoes. I just happened to realize today, that we've seen the Tempest, but not that other prop yet.
Did anyone notice any extra scenes or script yet?
I think I missed the press conference scene... I just got home... was it expanded?
There was a least one addition during the press conference, Jack actually names, names!
Boone, Charlie, and Libby Survived the Crash, but died, according to the "Official Story"
At the risk of reading too much into what's already confirmed as generally unimportant by TPTB (I think?):
Boone, Charlie, Libby are the characters who 'appear' quite often... Boone to Locke on island, the others in flashforwards...

Sayid also said there was nothing for him to return to in Iraq and Jack hadn't made any plans for his return. I'd say this is canon because Darlton is the one who alerted everyone to it in the OLP.

I never realized, until I saw the pop-ups today, that we know nothing about Sayid's family. Have they ever been mentioned?
I think it's very interesting that Boone, Charlie and Libby were named as the other three survivors. I wonder why they picked those three?

I hope they explain that 10 month thing. It makes no sense given the Kate timeline and Aaron's size, not to mention the wait.
ML Sayid's father being a war hero was mentioned in a flashback, and that village that was gassed. I guess that's what ultimately happened to them.
memphish - Jack's mother also says that she's glad he's home as she's leaving the funeral, which would imply that this is relatively soon after he gets back. I tend to think that Matthew Fox misspoke when he said ten months.
capcom - it seems a rather extravagant "thingy" to make for a joke, doesn't it?

You know last week when Ben gave himself up I thought to myself that it was weird... but I now realize... that is what Ben does, he gets caught... just like in season 2 with the Losties and the Hatch.

More interesting facts about Bentham
As requested in his will, his body was preserved and stored in a wooden cabinet, termed his "Auto-icon". Originally kept by his disciple Dr. Southwood Smith,[11] it was acquired by University College London in 1850. The Auto-icon is kept on public display at the end of the South Cloisters in the main building of the College. For the 100th and 150th anniversaries of the college, the Auto-icon was brought to the meeting of the College Council, where he was listed as "present but not voting".[12] Tradition holds that if the council's vote on any motion is tied, the auto-icon always breaks the tie by voting in favour of the motion.
The Auto-icon has always had a wax head, as Bentham's head was badly damaged in the preservation process. The real head was displayed in the same case for many years, but became the target of repeated student pranks including being stolen on more than one occasion. It is now locked away securely.

Yeah, capcom, they were bigger than I remembered - definitely not the polar bear. I guess they could have been in the caves, but they seem too elaborate for that - plus, these photos were taken this fall, and the finale wasn't even written until a month or so ago. Odd.
