My prediction for the finale:

Penny shows up and rescues Desmond, and leaves everyone else behind.

Dennis said...

memphish said... But wait, there's more. :) This is a funny recap of Season 3 to this point.

This is SO FUNNY!

My favorite quotes :)

So then Desmond pops up (lol) naked in the jungle and Hurley's all like IS THAT HAGGIS IN YOUR POCKET OR ARE YOU JUST HAPPY TO SEE ME, DUDE?

And then we found out that Claire used to be goth for some reason, and then we found out why she's so bitchy! She is Jack's little sister! And everyone had a good cry!

And then some weird chick fell out of the sky (Naomi) and was all like 'ELLO GUVNAH!

And then Locke was thinking, "Maybe he's born with it" and then Richard turns to him and goes, "Maybe it's Maybelline."

engineer27 said...

Many said...this whole "why wasn't Desmond there when Charlie was singing in the rain" thing

I thought we put this one to rest a long time ago.

Looking at the scenes, it is clear that they are different streetcorners, different days, different wardrobes (and no "Hieronymous" sign in the guitar case).

The only things the same are Charlie, his guitar, the rain, and "WonderWall". Charlie loves his guitar, loves "Wonderwall," and while London is not Seattle, it does rain quite a bit.

Happy Lost Day Eve! OMG I was LOL (to the point of tears) at memphish's link, "funny recap of season3"!!

Also went to the Regis & Kelly clip of Evagenline Lilly and it's got me really pumped for tomorrow nite!

As far as the book club, I think we should wait til after tomorrow nite to make our list of books. We may want to change/add to the list after the season finale.

That is so great of you to offer a podcast for our bookclub Passafist!

Good Lost-eve everyone.

memphish... thanks for that recap link. And I agree with dennis and codysmom -- it is too funny! I laughed out loud a few times and I know people were wondering what was so funny!

Let's state what we think would be the biggest shocking moment of the finale. Mine is:

THAT THE OTHERS REALLY ARE THE GOOD GUYS

Morning Pre-Lost Day!

Enjoyed Memphish's link to the funny S3 recap! Check it out.

Thanks, Passafist, for offering the podcast to the TLC Book Club! And thanks to Admin for letting us stay on this blog as the TLC Book Club this summer! (I'm a creature of habit! LOL)

Re Charlie's remembering the day he was called a hero: I still think it's a different day from
Desmond's. Just the fact of the different clothes and different backgrounds. That's what Charlie was doing at that time in his life as a starving artist down on his luck...singing on street corners and singing "Wonderwall" since it was a crowed pleaser. It also rains a lot in London.

maven said...

Biggest shocking moment of the finale:

LOCKE IS JACOB IN A DIFFERENT TIME LOOP!

maven said... Re Charlie's remembering the day he was called a hero: I still think it's a different day from Desmond's. Just the fact of the different clothes and different backgrounds.

I still think it could be the same day, and the different clothes, etc can be explained by remembering the day differently.

Going back to what I said earlier about the clothes not matching, if they definitely wanted it to be a different day, they would have had him singing a different song, and it wouldn't have rained at the exact same time. They must have left it ambiguous for a reason.

Ange said...

Hi and marking my place for after work.

I agree with maven and engineer27 and that the Des/Charlie thing is a different day.

I am so nervous for tomorrow night...is that odd?

My finale shocker prediction:
THEY GET RESCUED.

Zort70 said...

Hi all, I hope this hasn't been discussed recently, but there are so many comments I haven't had a chance to read them all. I only get 3 days to read a weeks worth of comments as I don't look at anything Lost related until Late Sunday after the episode airs in the UK.

Anyway enough of the sob story and on with the post.

Does anyone remember Shannon translating Danielle's notes and singing part of it in French ? The tune and possibly the words were from 'Beyond The Sea'. Which always led me to believe the answer to escape or the islands location was linked to the sea they were in somehow.

A link to the lyrics is here

memphish said...

I'm reposting the Season 3 Recap link for those of you who don't have time to troll through the last thread. It's definitely LOL funny.

Zort70, so you think they are in space?

My Season 3 Finale Shocker: Danielle somehow prevents them from being saved because she's been working with Ben all along.

ib4uc said...

My finale shocker prediction: Desmond wakes up and it's all a dream! j/k

I think it would be cool if they were all rescued but unlikely because they have 3 seasons to go. They could still be lost, but not necessarily on the island. Maybe they would focus on their lives back in the "real" world.

Darkaardvark said...

Finale predictions:

Locke survives, and he's going to do everything in his power to stop Jack from getting everyone off the island.

Something something timestreams creating something something hatch something Desmond something something world as we know it. ;)

**********HEROES SPOILERS HEROES SPOILERS*******************

As for Nathan and Peter, I can see either or both dying, but if they did it right, neither would have to (Nathan just lets go of Peter, zooms off). Why couldn't Peter just fly up by himself, anyways?

Parkman is *definitely* in mortal danger.

Hiro... is not going to die. Because he's possibly the best character that Heroes has, and there's no way they're killing him off.

But those were my four. I'd be surprised if more than two go.

****END HEROES SPOILERS*****

Capcom said...

I pretty much lean towards what you said Eng27, about Charlie on the corner. It's a pretty fair guess that he didn't only do the troubadour thing once. And the different clothes, corner, etc., would be the silent way (without actual narrative about it) that TPTB tell us that it is a different day.

And wow, to whomever said in the last thread about expecting Charlie to pop up inside the LG, out in The World somewhere, that was an awesome thought! That would have been so radical, like he could have popped up in a pond somewhere in Portland! :-O

Capcom said...

Good grief, thanks so much Memphish for that funny recap site, it's too funny!

engineer27 said...

Here is another tidbit for everyone to chew on....

Alex took the tape recorder (and gave it to John).

Amused2bHere said...

Caught up on comments...today is a good day for catching up with the podcasts etc...

Ib4uc: I thought of that too, maybe they'll be rescued and the story would follow how "lost" they are in their lives now in the real world. But I think that would kill the show, at least for me. Too soap opera, ew.

Memphish: thank you for that funny recap link! I laughed so hard I cried! My sides hurt; it's a good thing I am home alone right now, my family would have thought I'd totally lost it!

Capcom said...

Hmmmmm, nice thought Eng27! Very possible!

Capcom said...

Yes. I am still laughing over that recap, that person is a comic genius. :->

memphish said...

Everyone is welcome. Those are the kind of things I love to read. I'll keep an eye out for them over the break and post when I find them.

E27 -- I like it about Alex and the tape recorder. That would explain Ben and Richard's apparent real shock about its absence.

Zort70 said...

Memphish - I was thinking more of the love story angle :-)

Book Club: I'd be willing to swap out Catch22 for Through the Looking Glass. Probably more relevant, anyway. But I am reading Watership Down now, so I hope we don't switch the first book on the list.

I don't have any other preferences, I'll do whatever the admins decide.

It's very nice that Admin and Passafist are willing to let the book club use both the blog and the podcast to play in. You guys rock!

Thought I'd re-post...

REGARDING "THE LOST COMMUNITY BOOK CLUB" Dennis sent me this message. Below is my response. I'd love your feedback:

Dennis said...
David,

Some people have been asking about the Book Club over the summer. I think Melissa_Lossa is "running" it. Should they create their own blog for this (lostbookclub@blogspot.com )? Of do you want them to do it at TLC.

I'm leaning toward seperate blog, but we could link to it from TLC. If we go seperate blog, i'd be glad to set it up.

Dennis

FYI: Here is the list of books, and some comments:

June - Watership Down
July - A Wrinkle In Time
August - The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
August - An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge
September - The Third Policeman
October - The Turn of the Screw
October - Of Mice and Men
November - Catch-22
December - Carrie
January - Lord of the Flies

Melissa_Lossa said... I am so sorry that I have not been around more lately - I got hit hard at work yesterday, and I haven't had time to catch my breath yet. If anyone has questions/comments/suggestions pertaining to the book club, please e-mail me at piper.emily@gmail.com. That way, I'll be sure to get it. I apologize for not being a very attentive leader over the last couple of days. I did take a suggestion that I just saw on the last thread, and made a LIstmania List on Amazon of all of the books. It's called The Lost Community Book Club.

Melissa_Lossa said...I'm open to ideas on the book club. As far as I know, we will be staying with this blog (dennis or david, can you please confirm this?)

scoutpost said...Any update on the book club- like how it will work. Will there be certain specific dates for discussion? Did we decide to use this blog? etc. Guess I'm full of questions since the finale is right around the corner.

My Reply
Why not use TLC for the book club? It will be dormant during the "off season" anyways. I would be fine making Melissa & Scoutpost Admins for the hiatus. I'll just slap "book club" on the logo and we will temporarily become "The Lost Community Book Club". That is what I was planning on doing. Let me know if there are good arguments to not do that. What do you think?

But then why the same song? If they wanted to make it CLEAR that it was a different day, they would have made the OBVIOUIS things different - the song and the raining. Just the small details are different - details that most people didn't notice, until people like us started to over analyze it. :)

Biggest shocking moment of the finale:

Jacob is dead, and the island lets you see dead people. That's why Locke had to kill his father, so he could see dead people too.

Melissa_Lossa said...

Hey, guys!

David, thanks for the support on the book club. Work SHOULD be slowing down for me at the end of May, so I'll be able to jump in with both feet.

I agree that we should add Through the Looking Glass, and maybe even Alice in Wonderland to the List. I also agree that we should probably set the absolute final list after the finale. However, I'd like to keep Watership Down as the first book, because several people have already started reading, or at least picked it up already.

Both Alice books are pretty short, so maybe we could combine them with other shorter books on the list.

Oh, and (other) David - thanks for the invite to the podcast! I think we should definitely figure something out there.

Thanks to everyone who's been helping out and making suggestions. If you have anything to add, you can always leave me a note here, or send an e-mail to piper.emily@gmail.com.

Maybe some get rescued and they try to convince people that there are still survivors on the island. But when they search for the island, they can't find it.

Black Swan said...

Right, ib4uc... and they have to find out who's behind all this so they can rescue the ones left behind... since the one's who are behind it all are a secret society...

BUT, the trouble is... they can't go to any authorities because some of them are fugitives (ie. Kate)

The Penuels said...

ib4uc,

I totally think that would be interesting...to see a few people get off the island and then have to fight against The Others and their presence off the island.

And what if the game changer is that they do get rescued, but what they get rescued to is something completely unexpected?

codysmom said...
I was thinking along these lines, too. When Desmond is telling Charlie his vision is of Claire and Aaron in a helicopter, maybe it's not necessarily a rescue helicopter..

That's where my mind's been going all day. What if the copter takes a group to yet another island? Or maybe it crashes on another island. Maybe something related to the 4-toed statue? While it would be very interesting to see our survivors re-enter into the "real world" knowing what they now know, and being changed by their experiences, I don't think they can leave (at least not until the series is over). There are too many storylines anchored to this island...pregnancies, smokey, and Jacob cannot be abandoned. Plus Locke, Rose, and others may refuse to leave even if given the option.

What if only a few make it back to the mainland. We retain island adventures but we also get to see someone face the challenge of initiating rescue from the outside. The web of Mittlelos, Hanso, etc. preventing them from taking any action...the enormous roadblocks related to re-finding the island...dealing with unfinished business from their past (Something like Claire facing murder charges for killing her mom - possibly under the manipulative hand of Mittelos, etc).

I don't know if it would happen but it would add a very interesting dimension to the show...and it would be a surprising twist.

admin: Some of them get rescued.

ib4uc: I like that idea about locating the rest of them but they can't.

I think some don't want to be rescued. Scenario: some get rescued and we follow their lives into the real world, where they have after effects of sorts from the island (mental, physical, and phychological/precognitive).
Don't forget, from what Naomi and Cooper have said, the Losties are dead in the eyes of the world, so that might be an interesting story development.

Some stay the island (Ben, Locke, Jacob(?, Kate-the fugitive)) and their story line will be followed there as well.

Maybe the real world is where we will pick up with Walt and Michael. The return of Vincent to his master..or Michael and Walt are the Losties guides to reintegration into the world. Also maybe we get to see what happens when someone impregnated on the island (Sun and/or Kate) makes it off.

Hey capcom
amused2behere was the first who said that TLG is a doorway to the outside world and I agreed with her/him. I was the one who said when watching Greatest Hits I thought Charlie would come up in the outside world but was to cowardly to say it cause someone on the Fuselage got flamed for the same idea. Although I know you guys woould never do that. I thought that since everyone over there thought it was a stupid idea maybe they were right. So I gave kudos to amused2behere for having the courage to say it first.

amused2behere said:
I really do believe that we will find out TLG is a doorway to the real world.(I said it first!) Maybe like the Stargate, but maybe more like the Wardrobe in Narnia. I still think they are on the same Earth as we, maybe Time is different somehow...we'll see on Wednesday.

So saying that, my finale surpise prediction is that Charlie is in the outside world or finds out how to get there. Either that or Desmond dies saving Charlie.

Black Swan said...

Ange & Admin (David)... if those things don't happen you guys could write your own show!! I'd watch it (can I help write it:)

Tess315 said...

When Desmond told Charlie he had to die to save Claire I imediately thought that he doesn't have his flash just right that she may get on a helicopter but it wouldn't be a rescue. Then Charlie would die for no reason.

Black Swan said...

Wouldn't it be a kicker if the ones who want to stay on the Island (Locke, Rose, ?) are the ones who get rescued? Then they'd have double the motivation to find the island again... Could also work if couples are separated (Claire/Charlie, Kate/Sawyer/Jack, Rose/Bernard)

Zort70 said...

Bye all I'm off to watch some non Lost TV and visit som non Lost websites until Sunday when I'll be back here gibbering like an idiot after the spectacular and mind altering conclusion.

Are you saying that Locke had to kill his father in order to have a personal connection to the island spirit world?

The Looking Glass can't be a portal like the Stargate, because If it is, when Locke blows it up it will start a chain reaction with the Naquada in the gate and the whole solar system will explode.... LOL

DarkAngel,
According to Locke in Season 1 DriveShaft had two albums, and Charlie made a solo Album, that Locke said was better than Oil Change. I think that is DriveShafts second album.
Also Sayid found the Cable for the first time in Episode Nine of Season One.

Well another good podcast. I too am already reading WatershipDown, so please leave that as the first book.

Until Next Time...

I keep thinking about what Ben said to Michael, "follow that exact heading and you will find rescue. Ben measures his words very carefully since most of his lies are half-truths or technical truths based on semantics. I keep thinking that Michael and Walt found a "rescue" of sorts, but not the real rescue they were looking for.

I don't know where he sent them, or who was waiting for them at that heading, maybe it's Naomi's freighter?

Is Charlie going to meet up with Michael? Or a grown Walt?

I just wonder if Ben's words to Michael will be explained in the finale tomorrow night, or ever for that matter.

Erich said...

As far as the whole "some people get rescued; some don't" I could see a helicopter arriving, taking a few survivors (Claire & Aaron included), but not being able to find its way back once it has left...

Heck, I dunno. I kinda hope we're all wrong and whatever happens takes us completely by surprise

memphish said...

Why does Juliet apologize to Sun for lying to her? Is it that she lied about going back into the station to tidy up which was my first read of the scene or was it about the DOC or something else?

Dennis said...

I think it has to do with the "Why are you doing this?" question Sun asked:

SUN: Why are you doing this?
JULIET: What?
SUN: Helping me.
JULIET: [Pauses] Once upon a time, I told women that they were pregnant and their faces, it was the best news they ever got in their entire life. Then I came here. I've lost, nine, patients in the last three years. I'm helping you because I want to tell you that you and your husband got pregnant before you came here. I'm helping you because I wanna give good news again.

JULIET: Oh, and because Ben is forcing me to. :)

Will we see Locke in the Finale?
My guess, don't think so, but if he does show up it will be at the very end.

And he will have acquired some very interesting abilities....

maven said...

I like all the talk about some get rescued, some don't and some don't want to leave. We have to stay connected to the island (which is the main character on the show IMHO), and if we follow everyone in the "real world" after rescue we're talking going really soap opera-y. There are just too many questions unanswered on the island if everyone gets rescued and leaves.

I sincerely hope that this finale has not been overhyped in our minds! It has a lot to live up to!

24. What if Jack has the *sickness?* He looks terrible. He seems to be unstable. Danielle never did fully explain what the sickness was, only that her mates got it and she had to kill them. Will Jack’s fate be the same?

That would be a neat way to re-introduce the sickness which has been absent for a very long time!

MY FINALE SURPRISE PREDICTION:

I had to skip down because I am running out of time, so I'm sorry if someone already threw this idea out there.

What if rescue shows up (i.e. Penny), but something happens that makes the Losties decide/have to stay, BUT they tell the rescuers to come back in a certain ammount of time. This would explain both the snake in the mailbox (we would never expect them all to stay) and explain what the producers meant when they said we would understand why the show could only go 48 more episodes. 48 episodes from now, rescue would come, "on schedule."

ib4uc, Of course, the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland has a pocket watch (at least in the Disney version). He was always late though. Lateness and scientific research don't seem to add up, but watches, Lost Time, Aerhart, entrances to screwy worlds--I'm betting it is a watch especially since it seems to indicate 2 of the Numbers!

One of my screwy finale predictions would be that one of the Numbers is changed. Don't know how, when, but then we'd have to rewatch all 3 seasons looking for the new number. :)

Yes Sayid's Girl -- Summer officially started for me today. Yesterday was the last day of school for us. I slept in all the way to 7 am. :) And now I'm avoiding the stuff I need to get done in the name of summer.

Tess315 said...

That's great! This Friday would have been the last day for us but they have to go to the end of the month now to make up snow days.
I know what you mean about sleeping in all the way to 7:00 am.
Celebrate summer as much as you can today! Me I'm on my way out to weed my flowers :) Believe it or not I enjoy that.

It's nice that we get Monday off for LOST finale day :)

memphish said... Dennis/Admin/Thrasher :) is there some place we could put the master list of birthdays and the book club reading list and put a link to the front page? I tried searching various past links with very little payoff. Thanks.

I emailed Admin / David recently about the book club but I haven't heard back yet... although he has been here...

It's not up to me, but I was thinking it would be better to have a seperate blog for the book club, like TheLostBookClub.com, or TheLostCommunityBookClub.com or something like that. We do that already with TSOL, and TLEC. Then you are not mixing show posts with book posts, and we can change the front page "theme" to a book club theme.

If we keep all the posts here, when the show starts in 33 weeks, the book club will "disappear" when we change the front page back into "show" mode.

As for the birthdays, I'll put something in the "Links" section of the front page ASAP. Let me know if there is anyone missing on the list.

Question for the blog: Juliet knows that there is some force that prevents boats from leaving the Island's orbit. She says in The Glass Ballerina: So they have a boat. Sailing in circles will keep them busy. So why doesn't she tell the LOSTies about this? And what does she think is the cause of this perpetual circling? Has anyone got any ideas about how/why a boat will always be pulled back into the Island, but a helicopter could leave the Island's pull? What is it that you think the LOSTies are thinking, that using Naomi's sat phone will bring another helicopter or the actual ship?

Tess315 said...

I think juliet knows alot about the island she's not sharing and I don't trust her at all. If she turns out to be a good guy that will be the biggest finale surprise for me.
I have no idea what causes this other than the magneic forces if the island. Maybe the others are doing something to cause this like they are jamming the signals off the island. Since the helicopter crashed I'm not so sure it could leave the islands pull. If they can get a signal to Naomi's ship I don't think they care what comes to get them as long as they get off the island.

Ange said...

memphish said...but a helicopter could leave the Island's pull

Why do we think that? We know whoever sent Naomi thinks that perhaps a helicopter is the way to go, but we really have no proof that there is any specific way off of the island but the sub...right?

Also, I am so nervous for tonight, and also say about the HUGE BIG LONG break...and I am going to wear my Alvar's Angels tee-shirt :D. Happy Lost Day!

Memphish: I think it probably has more to do with the electromagnetism messing with compasses than any "tractor beam"-type force. I do wonder whether a helicopter (if it comes) would be bale to find its way back once it leaves.

By the way, are any other Veronica Mars fans out there? The season/series finale episodes last night were great. My co-blogger Dave (who also writes for dvdverdict.com) and I recorded a V-Mars postmortem podcast (which can be found here). memphish said...

Erich, I kind of think that too about the compass bearing, but it seems like drunk Desmond would have given up on the compass at some point and been able to drift out to sea rather than back into the Island.

It seems like any helicopter that tried to land would crash like Naomi's did though I guess a better pilot might be able to land despite spinning instruments. Naomi says: The instruments started spinning. I realized I was going down, so I grabbed my chute and I bailed. Spinning instruments does not equal crashing necessarily, does it?

The captain will be played by Rodrigo Santoro, and we will find out that he was Paulo's identical twin brother. It would have been the greatest crossing ever, if us fans hadn't killed Nikki & Paulo :)

Dennis,

The Penuels said...

Dennis,

I understand your idea about keeping the TLC "time capsule" factor. Our pattern thus far has been to not make exceptions about posting extra information unless it is for an Episode or a Podcast. I like posting about the Episodes & Podcasts ONLY because they are consistent and the community knows what to expect and they can stay focused. It's neat and tidy that way.

I guess I feel willing to make an exception for the book club b/c it will be organized and consistent. It fits our pattern.

At the end of the day, TLEC remains as a tribute to the whole experience of TLE. The comments mattered but thousands of people came to TLEC strictly to keep up with the content of the posts (to keep up with the clues). I think that, when all is said and done, TLC will stand not as a tribute to the show Lost, but as a tribute to the Community that it fostered. Nobody comes to TLC for the content of the posts (We really post nothing with the exception of podcasts), they come for the Community. I was thinking that hosting an "off season" book club would highlight the community aspect of the blog and provide some continuity during the 7 month hiatus.

Anonymous said...

memphish: no it doesn't. however, she simply said that's what she saw happening and she knew she was "going down". it does NOT mean that the instruments were "just spinning".

but being a prior marine in the aviation field, spinning instruments usually tell you you're losing fuel, in an area where MAGNETISM is throwing your compass way off or that you're "going down".

with THIS island, it could be any number of those. so yeah....bailing is a prime choice.

The Penuels said...

Has anyone got any ideas about how/why a boat will always be pulled back into the Island, but a helicopter could leave the Island's pull?

The only thing that really makes sense to me is if the island has only one way in/out ("follow a heading of 325" like Ben told Michael-tho Ben always lies). I found this on Wikipedia atlantis
I'm not saying it's Atlantis, just that this configuration makes sense to me...

thanks for the Doc Jensen link

2. purgatory is a part of the show (to what extent, not sure)

3. There's a third island.

4. Michael and Walt did NOT get away.

5. Naomi died. (this one will only apply if purgatory is part of it)

Tess315 said...

The writers chose their words very carefully. Follow this heading and you'll find rescue. Rescue can mean alot of things, but I don't think it means they made it back to the outside world. J K Rowling does this too in her books (I'm a Harry Potter fan) and Carlton and Damon compare Lost to Harry Potter alot usually when talking about their story having a begining middle and end but I've noticed the writers use wording like she does to lead you a certain way. Like Harry is suppose to vanquish the Dark Lord which everyone thinks means kill but it doesn't. Sorry I went a little off topic there. I'm looking forward to Harry's finale too.

memphish said...

So we have Chucklez predictions. LOL about Naomi being dead too.

What about more predictions from everyone else--spoiler-free of course. Deaths? I'm expecting some, but can't name anyone except Juliet and rando Others or Beachies that I would want to die.

A lot of people think Bernard is a goner which would be the official end of the Tail Section people who reached the Fusie beach. That would be very sad. The saddest to me would be if Jin died. I don't think he will though because it seems like he's got at least one FB left in him. We've never seen Sayid's daddy issues either. So I predict they will survive perhaps given a reprieve by Alpert's Others.

Ded, good luck on your exam tonight. I hope you get home in time to watch the finale.

Elizabeth Mitchell was on the View, and she showed a "sneak peek" that was not spoilery. We already know the basic situation of tonight's episode, and this had no new info just some conversation between Jack and Juliet (be careful out there, you too ok?). Duh.

So am I the only one somewhat nervous about the finale? I really want to be blown away by the game-changer, but what if I'm not? I'm somewhat afraid that it's been so hyped up it can't possibly be that good.

My game-changer prediction (which is of course wrong, as I think most other predictions have been for this episode): A new island/underground island/geographical location, combined with a countdown- and this time, the fate of the world really *is* at stake- no more mind games.

Also, I really don't want Sayid to die. Please live, Sayid/Bernard/Jin!

Sweetie go take another look at my post I did say the writers chose those words. I only said the producers compared Lost to J K Rowling's books and how they had a begining middle and end like Lost's story and that the Lost writers chose their words carefully like she does. I was referring to what Ben said as being leading and not the truth. That the heading leading to rescue could mean anything and not neccessarily getting to the outside world. However there are a few people who feel they did make it to the outside world. Which is why you have to be aware of the wording. Hopes this clears up my previous post for you. If not ah well.

Capcom said...

I'm with you Ded. I'm not really registering the boobytapped mailbox, or earthshaking promo hype, into my brain. The end of seasons 1 and 2 were both game changers for the Lost as we knew it at those times, so I'm just going with "Whatever, but I hope it's crazy-good", in my head.

Your guess would be really great! But I hope that TPTB don't dig themselves in too much deeper. But, the mysteries of the statue and where the Hostiles came from really do beg for more layers to be added to the story. Well actually, those layers have already been added merely by the existance of those things, but now these empty layers need to be filled in with some story facts.

But I really do hope that we get some interesting and freaky info on the LG tonight! I can wait until next season for statue-story, if they give us some juicy junk about the LG and what the wabbit logo means. Hmmm, I wonder if there will be someone working on the LG who's name is Elmer?! Then we could spend the summer waxing on about the philosophical ramifications of Elmer Fudd in our bookclub! :o)

My prediction: that there actually is no Jacob, that Ben is developed psychic powers as a result of being neglected as a child.

Not to nitpick, but the producers ARE writers. Producer, Executive Producer, etc are writer titles, like ranks in the military. Damon & Carlton went through the whole hierarchy on one of the podcasts.

capcom said... BTW, has anyone found or figured out from caps what the tiny word is underneath the rabbit? Sorry if this was already posted. And no fair saying that it says, "What's up doc?"! :o)

I don't think so. There was a cockroach crawling next to ______ before and people thought that was him, but it wasn't. I think they like the recurring cockroach theme because of what it has to do with evolution and how cockroaches are more evolved than humans (from Mohinder's lecture in the pilot)

I don't normally post but I have been thinking about a theory for a while. I think that the Islnad is just slightly off from our dimension. I think the looking Glass is the place where the two dimensions meet in a time warp or something. I think that the portal used to open and close whenever jacob wanted it to but it can't now. I think Jacob is stuck between the two dimentions which is whey the portal hasn't closed. And the best part, I think that the young Ben figured some things out and I think he is the one who trapped Jacob between the two worlds to keep the portal open all the time. Just a thought.

Thanks, Codysmom! Hope I can stay up, too! LOL It will probably take overnight or so to process the whole finale. Most likely, none of us are going to be sleeping too well tonight!

Your avatar is awesome.

1. I am totally jealous of all of you who are "out" for the summer. I have until the 13th and it is getting HOT.

2. I am so nervous about the show I can't even enjoy the Red Sox.

3. I am officially spoiler free, and NERVOUS, and I still think there is going to be a rescue of some kind. I am not even going to speculate on the "I love you" because they edit the previews so oddly sometimes for all we know Jack says it to Joop.

Excited and waiting!
